Very nice and helpful staff. Coffee very week could put extra scoops, went in yesterday and asked for it to be stronger and got a spoonful extra from nescafe. Not ideal when 2 different types of coffee, but she tried her best to please me (fair go for her). It is the Boss to sort out and put more scoops in. I try not to go there, only go if I haven't much time. 😎

ITS NOT ABOUT THE EGGS ON TOAST

I have been a frequent customer, but that ended today when I went in to enjoy my regular breakfast of scrambled eggs on toast. The cafe was busy, but there were two empty tables inside, a couple outside in the sunshine, and most of the larger tables had a single person sitting at them

A group of 3 lads ordered and sat down at the larger free table, and I paid £6.85 for my regular breakfast, before sitting down at the remaining free table (which is about 2ft 6 across).

An elderly gentleman with a stick came in after me, ordered something or other, and was asked whether this was to eat in or take away; when he confirmed that it was to eat in, he was shown to the small table at which I was sitting, without any reference to me or asking whether I minded. I suggested that they might like to give him my breakfast as well, and walked out.

I am sure the chap was a perfectly nice person, and that I might even have enjoyed his company. But to not ask if I minded was in my opinion rude, and destroyed the whole experience for me.

And so here is the point: there are 3 supermarkets in Nailsworth, and I am quite capable of making scrambled eggs on toast in less time than it takes me to walk to The Coffee Pot. I don't go there for the scrambled eggs - I go there for the experience, and that's why I am prepared to pay £6.85 for a breakfast that I could make myself for 68p.

Common courtesy and even the slightest civility would surely suggest that either the chap who came in after me should have been directed to one of the vacant tables outside (its a lovely day today), or perhaps even to one of the larger tables which was only partially occupied, rather than unceremoniously planted on the tiny table I was sitting at without so much as a "by your leave".

Your mileage may differ, but I won't be back

Great little bakery and cafe in nailsworth and worth the trip. They were really friendly and helpful when when looking through their menu. Decent gluten free options are quite hard to find so it was a nice change to find something that I enjoyed. Just looking forward to seeing what else they can do

Glad to come back and see nothing changed still poor service, the egg mayo sandwich was made from the cheapest butter and tasted awful and was like salad cream, on our vist the front staff did not have clue what's she was doing was constantly walking out the back for answers, I had a blt which was ok but was tasteless and boring and again they need to change there butter, it awful people coming in and out of shop only to find hot food not on offer or they ran out of there short amount of stock, we went into have lunch but its was not available even though being advertised it was available as there were times written on the boards which again was disappointing, come guys it be really nice to go in there one and enjoy it, the place needs staff in that know what they doing and bring it out of the 70s
