I went there for six years around two years ago and honestly I could have done so much better there is literally so many more schools that are better to Chestnut, Harris Academy, Graveney and many more that you would rather send your son to. They will actually nurture and teach your child to reach their full potential but this "school" and its pupils will ruin your child's potential and just pray to God he doesn't turn into one of them low lives that think they are "Gangsta".

Look, I gotta be honest not the best school. The older boys are rude and the year 8s think that they rule the place. Mostly, the teachers are helpful and teach but then you get those in your class that interfere with that. If you like to wear your jacket inside or like to wear hoodies, your not allowed to either of them. The punishments in year 9 are outrageous getting an hour for being late to school or lesson twice in a week and getting a behaviour point warrents an hour on a Friday and a lunchtime detection from Mr Lee. Food is not the best, with it ranging from ok to horrible. They also don't close if it's snowing a lot.

Folks, I am going to be very straightforward with you. This school is not good. I attended this institute for five years and I am an old purple tie. I feel sorry for the teachers who try very hard to maintain a good environment and give their utmost support but the students seem to think they own the place. All the little kiddies act tough and constantly disrupt lessons, impeding the progress of others and making it very hard to focus on studying. Teachers leave every year which can cause grave repercussions, especially if you are taking your GCSEs. Not that I blame them, which sane person would want to stay here when there are glue sticks being thrown around the classroom? Ever since I started in Year 7, the resources and quality of learning has gradually been diminishing. Bullying is very common. There are fights everyday between peers because everyone wants to show off their new judo skills that they learnt yesterday. In my honest opinion, the school is on its last legs and requires a huge reformation.

I went to this horrible school back in the 90s chosen by my stepfather. From the first day I hated it and struggled through the five years I was there. It was so bad I was lucky enough to forget all about it when I left there until earlier on today I saw a bunch of Bevin students on the bus while in was heading to work and that brought back horrible memories and a chill, there was a couple of nice teachers back then. I came out of there with Poor GCSEs but I leaned more and pretty much educated myself after leaving. Back then there was a lot of gang related kids, theft was a regular thing, bullying everyday even I saw teachers being bullied by some of the students. Happy that my son doesn't go there and I've never even told him what school I went to he doesn't know about Bevin and I hope he never will.
I don't know anyone from my year that succeeded leaving there or even enjoyed it to be honest. Anyways just thought after all these year I could share and express my thoughts on this school and from reading others reviews it appears that Ernest Bevin hasn't changed at all apart from a face lift a leopard can't change it's spots. A waste of money that could be spent better in other areas in that school My personal opinion I wouldn't recommend this school at all. Maybe in 20 years time it could change and become a very good school... good luck.

T.R.A.S.H This school. most gangs in tooting are established here. Don't go. You won't come back with a brain (or unhurt).

Go there weekly for the swimming pool. Not the best ventilated pool. ++Hot on pool side in the summer. Does the job.

Never be fooled by ofsted rating. This school is terrible. The pupils in most classes are poorly behaved with poor impulse control and many teachers do not even teach properly. Teachers often lack the knowledge especially in STEM subjects.
