Meadow Orchard

As there is no email address given, this is the only way to comment. I met the lady from this place this morning, 15th Oct, and she invited me to come along on that same afternoon. When I got there, 2.30, the gate was locked, with a notice saying they were away picking apples elsewhere. Another man also was disappointed, and said it was the second time he'd turned up, to find a locked gate, in the only hours advertised as open, 12 - 4pm Sat. Before, there'd been no note. I had wanted to supply more correct info about finding photos of her bees in action in a local garden, but no. Free prints, too, but no. An email address on the website would be a start. Good ideas, but poor connections.

Complete zen. Beautiful meadow with clover, buttercups, woods, people. It is a sunny place even on a rainy day. Making savoury, then sweet pizzas was fun for adults and kids alike. I tasted pizza with apricots, prunes and French liquor-marinated raisins for the first time.

Beautiful secluded wild space with unusual cob building fruit trees herb garden etc. The Meadow Orchard is now reliably open when it says it is. Saturdays 12-4 .Visitors and volunteers are welcome then.

Wonderful, serene, welcoming place surprisingly tucked behind a hospital.

A nice peaceful nature reserve.
