Absolute s*** show from start to finish with these guys! They said that they would be quick with my MacBook Pro and call it a priority fix. From start to finish it took 3 weeks. Waiting for parts and the insurance to confirm the fix.

Understandable, I guess.

What has annoyed me the most is that the machine is almost a "frankenlaptop" now. The LCD doesn't show that it's a MacBook Pro (photo to prove) anymore so I doubt the legitimacy of the parts used. The screen is also noticeably dimmer than another MacBook Pro of the same age in the house.

I dare to open the back to see what they have done to the logic board.

The battery doesn't hold as much charge as the last one and now doesn't show the amount of time left, only a percentage. This may be because of the legitimacy of the products used with the machine.

They then sent the MacBook Pro back to me without the charger, so I had to wait a further day to use the machine again.

Then to add insult to injury, the cable had snapped in the box with the way that they sent back the charger and now I have carefully hold into a position for it to charge.

If you can, avoid at all costs! They are an absolutely awful company.

My insurance company had forwarded my daughters macbook to Value Checkers to be inspected and to send on their report.

The Macbook was not economical to repair so a replacement macbook was ordered. The technician Arran couldn't do enough, he tried relentlessly to add my daughters data back onto the new macbook but my daughter couldn't remember her passwords so this couldn't be done but it didn't stop Arran and his persistence, he never threw in the towel.

It's nice to know there are still people out there that will go the extra mile to help someone, very few and far between workers nowadays .

Value Checkers collected my damaged MacBook within 24hrs and returned the device repaired 3 days later, was keep fully informed throughout the claims journey, superb service, highly recommended

If you are looking for a company that treats you with respect and any decency stay far away from this company they claim to repair laptops and claim that their parts are original but at what cost ?
we sold laptops to this company only for them to fiddle with them for parts to fix other laptops

so be very careful as you may get a working laptop but with stolen parts which have no proper apple cover

The director Dominic, assistant Katie and worker Aaron were absolutely appalling with any level of customer service because we did not immediately agree to a partial refund they began making false claims of threats ? why would we threaten people ?that's what insurance is for ? also that the item they have previously bought from us was not new ? but they ordered it twice ? sounds really strange we explained our return process only for the phone to be put down on us then put forward claims of threats which never happened as all correspondence between both parties were recorded and available for anyone to listen to if you have had similar experiences with them

its disgusting behaviour to go around scamming smaller businesses instead of building with them we are still currently liaising with eBay to recover losses

if you have time to loss time and money then this company is your best bet

other than that STAY FAR AWAY YOUR LAPTOP WILL GO IN FOR ONE ISSUE AND COME OUT WITH MASKED UP ESTRUCTION WAITING TO FALL APART

Amazing service by this company despite being on hold with my Insurer for 45mns, Value Checkers put me at ease & explained the process, replacement device arrived next day, special thanks to Katie.

My insurance company forwarded my claim onto Value Checkers to access the damage to the phone and see what the way forward was. From start to finish it took less than a week and and queries asked were responded immediately. Thankyou.
