Although in a convenient location at this small village strip of shops, the person who was at the till was extremely rude towards me and we left after that. This was quite unfortunate though because I noticed they had good prices.

This husband and wife team run a key newsagents shop in the heart of St Leonards. They work unsociable hours, in all weathers and since Covid-19 have still managed to provide their shop services and paper deliveries despite the quite arduous social distancing regulations. I have only praise for their persistence and their continued support for the local community.

The owner can organise newspapers to be delivered in St Leonards, we get ours delivered through our door every Saturday for a modest additional fee, highly recommended.

Very lovely people who do a difficult job in trying conditions, especially with a ridiculous one way system and coping through Covid.

so disappointed with the attitude of the chap who works here. I do a round 1 mile away and this is the most convenient place to get papers i am short of. already i have spent good money here which you would think they would be pleased about. but today i turned up at 06.55. 5 minuets before they opened in the chance to get a few papers i was missing. the lady was lovely and sorted me out even though i would have been happy to just wait that 5 minuets until they open... later on i had to go back to pay some money i owed and to return a paper i did not need. i let them have the paper back, so a little profit for them if they re sell. But all i got was nasty comments from the guy behind the counter. moaning at me for turning up at 5 to 7 saying they have work to do. telling me to go to the depot instead. i explained they are the closest to my round. and he still went on about how they don't need it in the mornings as they are busy. even though i was the only one there at both times... after the last year you would think they would be happy for the extra business. But i am guessing they don't care about extra custom and getting rid of papers rather than having to return unsold ones. but no. these guys must make more than enough so i shall not return and will give my custom to someone more grateful. id give them a miss if i were you and try somewhere more in need of the business

WOW - OH MY GOD........i agree with the other reviews - the chap there has a anger problem, the lady is nice though, i was working close by all day and i could hear him through the day being chatty to some people but rude to others, he was even rude to the elderly which is awful, just a angry little man, i over heard from couples in the street saying that they hate going there when he is there but its the nearest place for a paper, one elderly lady had to go next door which is the convenience store to ask them inside to get the paper for her because the chap wont sell her the newspaper, what a horrible chap
