Not a great selection of items and the store still gives out old £1 coins as change

It's improved in recent years; I used to go there in the morning to find two people on the till more interested in chatting to each other (and seemingly having the same conversation) than being friendly to customers; one of them didn't even seem to be serving customers, just sitting there doing nothing, even if there was a bit of a queue. I'd sometimes get a grumpy "have you got the exact change?" if I went in to get a paper and they were seeing to a delivery out the front, as though serving me would be an inconvenience. They've gone now, so service is okay, except that occasionally the server is on the phone, but the person who serves me is usually friendly. The only other issue I have is that they reduced the size of the shop by half and I can't always find what I want.

Shopkeeper charged me £1 to pay by card, even though I was spending £20. He was also very rude about it. Even though it's convenient for me I will not be returning. If I could give Zero stars I would. Absolutely appalling.

Passed through this store when using the local train station. First time I went in there and I was really pleased with the service, good start to my day! Thank you Kooner Stores
