Co-op Food - Harlow

It's a good site except I've been trying to find lurpak butter is back in stock and also if it's on offer, I've searched with several words but no luck, so I'm not very happy about this.

What lovely staff.
I was on a visit to see my elderly parents and popped in for a few things for them. I asked a middle aged lady who was filling the shelves something. She turned to me with a smile and said nothing was too much trouble and showed me to the thing I couldn't find then asked if there was anything else. She was very busy but I felt I wasn't interrupting her at all. I only caught the "de" of her name badge I'm afraid.

Gone downhill a lot in recent months. Staff just seem uninterested. large queues allowed to build up, with only 1 person serving and 2 tills empty. Even when they do ring the bell for more help, there is no rush from other staff members to get there. The beer fridge has been broken for a long time now, why not just get it fixed. The whole store is starting to look shabby and unloved. You are forced to use the shop as there is nothing else in the area. Used to be a great shop, it’s a shame the standards have fallen so much.

Supposedly a floor limit of eight people but over twenty people in store. Staff are ambivalent and when it was raised they put the responsibility on customers. Management are not aware of their duty of care and don’t manage the door during busy trade.

I love this shop, the staff are usually very friendly, and the produce is mostly good. It is just a shame it is quite small and hence has a limited range

If you are serious about social distancing, don't go here. The rules and number allowed in store are ignored by customers and staff alike.

It has a post office inside, can get a bit cramped if both are busy.
