Lovely little shop, that seems to stock everything. Staff always helpful and polite.

The shop is stocked with a wide range of everyday essentials! Staff are always extremely courteous!

I have explained to the shopkeepers several times that you are not allowed to specify a minimum charge for items marked below a specified amount. For example the shop carries a sign minimum transaction £2.00 on a ripped piece of card in the till keepers window. It is against FCA guidelines to do this, you can be fined for it. One, but not the only reason, is that diabetics needing sugar, on low state incomes can purchase, chocolate and sugar products at a low price; however this store stocks the available items, however refuses to sell them. The shop in fact may actually be receiving wholesale discounts to be able to stock these items at this price, however, clearly refusing to pass on the required discounts to those in need.

I purchased 40 pounds of electricity from this shop on the wrong key, as the shop insist that you have to pay cash for electric and gas top ups, not card, it was not possible to get a refund back to the bank from the energy supplier. Therefore, I had to go back to the shop with a code to have it refunded, which they then did not do correctly. Stealing £30.00 of the money from the key.

I have amended my review of this shop pending further feedback from the owner. Indeed the sign does change from brown to white for some strange reason. And they do sell illegal tobacco and they did sell crack pipes, however have sold out.

Always have what I need, lovely helpfull staff. Lots of products for sale.

Great little local shop. Plenty of variety and prices in line with other mini-markets of the same type. The staff here are really friendly and helpful.

Looks like a couple of reviewers have taken exception to the fact that the business owner is trying their best not to get ruined by the banks and has implemented a minimum card transaction amount. Right or wrong, if you have a problem with that, surely it’s best to just pay cash rather than fall out with a local independent trader?
