The Co-operative Sturminster Newton

The Stur Co-op offers a great selection at reasonable prices. For us rural folk, it is a life-saver! The staff are friendly and this shop does a lot for the community.

ALWAYS get a receipt and check how much you have been charged. Once again I have been over charged here and this time as it was only one item I didn't they would get it wrong! If I had forgotten to pay for an item, I'm sure that they would call the police. However, an extra item or a an item on special offer not reduced, or on this occasion an extra £20 on my bill I'm going to stop using this shop and would like to warn everyone to check their bills if you choose to shop here!
OOps! On this occasion I was in the wrong!! So sorry, when I am wrong I'll admit it. - I forgot I took £20 cash back. However, I would still advise everyone to always check their receipts as I have regularly been overcharged at this store.

I visited yesterday with my autistic daughter and was mortified with the service we recieved, the lady who served us was brilliant and realised that we were having issues as the lady behind the till next to us had been very abbrupt with my daughter, I had asked her to step forwards out of the way of others but before she had a chance to process and move the woman behind the other till demanded her to 'move', causing my daughter to get more anxious, she was also continually looking (scowling) at her throughout the whole time and tutting at my daughter every time she was stimming to help control her self (clapping her hands and laughing with a little jump) i found the woman very rude and obviously very little awareness and little tolerance to children and disabilities which is very concerning as its a shop that is supposed to serve families

Always very pricey, with the occasional ok deal. Unfortunately staff seem to be working in difficult conditions as the majority are not very welcoming. However there are Staff such as James and another couple of staff who are absolutely brilliant with how they seem to always make an effort and are plesent.

I am going to give co op in Sturminster Newton 5 stars. Lovely helpful staff, with a happy friendly atmosphere. The fish is good quality, along with many other products. This supermarket is a godsend for many people without cars, so keep positive everyone and smile with your eyes and leave a sparkle wherever you go.

I have done my food shopping for many years now its a nice supermarket most of the staff that know me treat me with a family environment the only problem I have is that mostly through the weekend food stock gets low and have to wait till Monday for food shelves to be re stocked

I said to the shop assistant larger lady with red hair when you get a chance can you pass over some cigarettes I'm at self checkout & I'm answered by I'm serving other people which I could see & had said to her if listening when you get a chance she was next to me on the self checkout reseting & was so abrupt & rude larger lady she shouldn't be serving customers everything seemed an effort for her & I felt so unwelcome I'll use the Co op in Shillingstone from now on.

Today I was humiliated by a member of staff who spoke to me as if I was a child. Telling me how to move around the store!. The worst thing is I work for the Southern co op and was in uniform. This store needs a New manager and the staff sending on customer care courses. It appears the older members of staff are the rudest.
