Sadly I will be moving soon, but I will always pop back to this shop just to see them, every single person working there is so lovely!
You guys couldn't stay at home during lockdown, you're a food shop, you had to be open, you risked that so we could access the supplies we needed. You deserve some kind of recognition. I have a good mind to write to the council and suggest this shop should get some kind of reward for their services during this difficult time.
Sadly after an experience yesterday I have had to re edit this. Came across two extremely rude women who were VERY drunk in this shop last night. They got VERY close to me, and had no masks on or anything, stumbling all over the shop, touching everything and standing on goods. Ideally they should have been asked to leave but were not. I asked her to kindly and politely take a step back and respect my space, to which she burst out laughing (again very loud with no face covering on, we are still in a pandemic after all) and very close to me, calling me 'Karen!' etc. I sarcastically told her she must have me mixed up with someone else due to being so drunk and my name was actually Cheryl, and looked her in the eye and said 'DON'T' after which I was left alone.
The security standards could do with brushing up a bit. A big sign on the window saying 'no mask, no entry' would not go amiss either and perhaps a warning stating that people who are intoxicated will not be served and asked to leave.
Please remember we are still in a pandemic, Coronavirus has not gone away. It is our right not to have strangers behave like this and to have our personal space respected. These two women, if you are reading this, you are both a total joke, you must have been in your 20s, so not kids, you should damn well know how pathetic you both looked, soaking wet, stumbling all over like that dressed in pyjamas (in the pouring rain lol). Obviously no consideration for your loved ones either if you are willing to put yourself at risk like that, what for, another bottle of booze? I damn well hope your heads hurt today.
Best wishes,
Cheryl x
Edit: it is an extremely bad shop with a very bad atmosphere. The usual staff seem to have been replaced and the new staff are poorly trained and so not seem to adhere to corona virus safety measures.
