SPAR - Chessington

If you want to drop off a Hermes parcel here, it may be worth going elsewhere. I tried twice to drop off a parcel. The first time, I was told that my parcel too big. The second time, I was told that the machine was broken. I went to another shop in the end.

Rude staff

Unbelievable rude and unhelpful staff. Went in to drop off a Hermes parcel at 15:20 on 17 February. My code would not scan and they refused to help me by scanning it manually which they had done earlier on that same week The assistant was abrupt he started shouting at me and I said why are you being so unhelpful which he did not like. I’ve been in there previously and the staff have been unhelpful and they have an attitude. They need to consider some customer service. The cashier kept shouting and threw my receipt on the floor; YOUR STAFF ARE DISGRACEFUL AND LACK AMY CUSTOMER SERVICE.

The cashier at this store is extremely rude especially when you want to drop off Hermes package. He often tells you to come back the other day as the scanning machine is broken and we suspect it is a lie as this happens too often. I should not have tried my luck but it happened again on Saturday afternoon when I tried to drop off a parcel, he annoyingly told me the pick up won’t happen until Monday so come back so he refused to accept the parcel. I asked the package to be scanned and to be kept at the store, as you would do at the other Hermes drop off shops , but then he replied that the scanning machine is broken! I wasn’t happy as I had to find another parcel shop in the end as the label will expire and that weekend was the only time to do this drop off.
I am thinking of complaining this matter to the Citizens Advise as it is not an appropriate conduct of service. (As I also can not find anywhere to complain in Hermes website.) It’s convenient to have a drop off point nearby but this person is too untrustworthy and while he is at this shop, this place should not exist
