Working around the corner means this is a great place to stop for a coffee and hot sausage roll. Very friendly staff!

If I could give a zero I would! Around 11am my elderly dad tried to enter this store and 2 members of staff were outside smoking (1 looked like it was the end of her shift) and the shop was closed. So my dad asked how long they were gonna be and this very rude man (short with hat) said "When I'm ready" in a very disrespectful and stuck up way. When my dad reacted to his comment he was told not to come into the store anymore. My dad cones in this store every single day and is his local store, his health isn't the best and the last thing he needs is stress. Having a long career in retail myself including mccolls, I was disgusted to hear this. This man needs to be disciplined and a lesson in customer service skills.

Staff at this store are always very friendly and helpful.

Parking is ok although limited.

The store has a nice range of products.

Store opening times are a little random

This store ruins the area by leaving their bin bags out on the street every morning to be collected, where seagulls tear them open and spread the trash everywhere, and it's been like this for years. They could buy a wheelie bin but they're too tight and selfish. I've complained to McColl's head office twice but they just fob me off, say they'll talk to the staff, and nothing ever changes. It's not the staff's fault if they aren't given the tools to do their job, is it? But that doesn't matter to the suits in McColl's, who don't want to spend any money. They don't care if trash gets spread all around the street near my home; they clearly think the council will pick it up and absorb the cost. Well, not for much longer because I've raised this to the council and am hoping for a prosecution. Attached a small selection of the many photos I've taken over the years.

No social responsibility at all. Selfish and incompetent. Avoid like the plague if you care about your city.
