This is a small shop with lots of good things. They sell vegetables, fish, meat and poultry. The shop is off London Road by an alleyway. The service is good and they are helpful. I love these small independent shops as I can buy ingredients to cook my Venezuelan food.

What is halal meat? Halal is Arabic for permissible. Halal food is that which adheres to Islamic law, as defined in the Koran. The Islamic form of slaughtering animals or poultry, dhabiha, involves killing through a cut to the jugular vein, carotid artery, and windpipe. (taken from BBC)

Halal is an Arabic word that means “permissible.” In terms of food, it means food that is permissible according to Islamic law. For a meat to be certified “halal,” it cannot be a forbidden cut (such as meat from hindquarters) or animal (such as pork.) ... Eating blood is not halal (Taken from BBC)

Halal (/həˈlɑːl/; Arabic: حلال‎ ḥalāl), also spelled hallal or halaal, is an Arabic word that translates as "permissible" into English. In the Quran, the word halal is contrasted with haram (forbidden). (BBC NEWS)

The opposite of halal is haram, meaning “forbidden”. Traditional halal meat is killed by hand and must be blessed by the slaughterman. ... For meat to be considered halal the animal must be alive and healthy before it is killed, and all the blood must be drained from the body. (BBC NEWS)

I defiantly recommend it but bring your own bad, remember the plastic crises!
