The Co-operative Glascote

Built on the site of the old Anchor pub next to the canal. Costa coffee and free cash point machines. Parking available most times. Ideal for a quick stop for free cash or a shop.

Since the move from the old location, this new Co-op has proven to be extremely useful. Given it's much larger size over the old store there are a much wider variety of products available. Fresh fruit and vegetables, meat and fish, fresh baked in store goods, toiletries and sundry items, you name it they probably have it. As a general little convenience store it really is a one-stop shop for most of your everyday needs. The staff are extremely friendly and are always happy to help should you need it, and although it may seem at times that they only have a limited number of people manning the checkouts, rest assured they're quick to call for reinforcements from the back should they see the queue building up!

Parking is ample and I've yet to see all the spaces filled, there's a free to use cash machine outside, along with some bike locks and some small trolleys should you require one.

Today I travelled around trying to get change for my sons bus fare as they keep on robbing us via the aviation bus app or via our banking. Went into Co-Op picked up a small bag of sweets do they can give me changed. I hoped. Anyway I get to the 2nd till and I asked the lady if she could please give me changed in small denominations. Automatically she said I was going to leave her short in her till. I am literally short on begging her for change at this point. She firstly starts counting out but then she's giving me bigger denominations I am asking her to change it for smaller which she did as the bus doesn't give you change. Anyway I take the change and scurry out as I am embarassed at this point. My husband puts the change in the car. We go home and then as we turn in I realise I needed spice get back there see the same lady and she says are you using your change I gave you? Gobsmacked at her cheek. Get home take the coins out the car. Counting them and £1 missing looked everywhere couldnt find it. She short changed me and ridiculed me. Never ever going back there ever again.

If the staff show their co-op.....eration as they do then the store is first class

Totally hiked up the price of goods, not really a pop in store now

I asked my little girl to pick a number between 1-20 I did not even say for a scretch card and she said 5 and the staff siad we was nkt aloud one because she chose the number. It is oethetic ohnestly we will never be going there again. Descusting.

Wonderful staff best co-op I've ever been in. Co-op chiefs, you have fantastic staff don't lose them, so helpful even on other things not to do with shopping. I am so grateful to you all thank you.

A large store with a fair size car park.
Please sort your not fit for purpose ATM out. I drove past and up to the island to come back on myself and park in the car park. Waited to use the machine to find it's not working. Pretty useless, really
