Rothwell Convenience Store

I've used the Hermes drop here many times. Admittedly the keeper isn't happy about it, but he never refused my parcel. I commented on the nice incense smell and the keeper was kind enough to give me a few of his own stash.

Can't comment on the shop and prices myself as I was only collecting a parcel from the drop off point, but I spoke to the friendly lady on Wednesday behind the counter who happily handed over my parcel after showing my ID without issue. I haven't met the owner yet, so it could be a different experience next time.

I love the way the owner seems to make his own rules up for his Hermes drop off service. Absolutely useless! Would give it a zero if I could. Don't opt in to be part of a service if you're not prepared to fulfill it, that's just wasting everyone's valuable time.

The man is this shop is so rude, it’s almost funny that he can be this rude to customers. If you’re collecting a parcel it’s far from convenient, the man makes it a huge performance tutting and huffing whilst he looks for it. Good luck if you choose this option.

Awful shop, they refuse to take any Hermes parcels and staff are very rude and dismissive. The only trade they must get must be from parcels as why would you step foot inside the place otherwise. They clearly wish to no longer be hub for a parcel collection, although this in turn brings footfall and custom. Good luck to them.

I’m afraid I don’t see the point of having a local parcel drop shop if they don’t accept your parcel. I think they should change the name to Rothwell very inconvenient shop.
Prefer to give no stars, but not an option!

Tried to return a Hermes parcel as this is my nearest drop off point, despite being a 15 minutes dive away. I initially struggled to scan my return barcode on the Hermes machine and without asking he took my phone off me to do it himself - I'd have been taken a back this happening in normal times but during covid I was shocked and felt very uncomfortable!! Then he looked at my parcel (item was wrapped in original black bag packaging)and he said Hermes wouldn't take it as they don't take items wrapped in bin bags or carrier bags. I explained 5 times that this was the original packaging but he was having none of it. I further explained he is my nearest drop off point despite being so far away, so I have no option but to leave the parcel with him to return. He was very rude and huffy and I'm half sure my parcel will conveniently not be given the Hermes collector! Do not recommend this store to anyone.

Tried to leave a Hermes parcel of a kitchen cupboard door but told this item is too big for them to deal with. Why bother trying to take parcels if you have no space to cope. Also found the gentleman very rude behind the counter.
