The Cabin

I needed to send a parcel back to amazon via this strange Hermes collection service. This is done without a printer. I was given instructions by amazon to take this scannable barcode on my phone to a selection of shops on this map where they would scan the barcode and take my parcel. After trying two different spars with no luck I decided to try the cabin. What a wonderful helpful man I spoke to. After arriving here frustrated he helped me on a machine that printed a label for my parcel. This is a small shop located next to the train station I pass her everyday and never noticed it. 😊

Classic corner shop mentality. But with a heart of gold. Although I live relatively close, I hadn't been for a few years and needed to return an amazon parcel. So I popped along. I picked up a lollipop for my Son waiting with the dog outside, but only had a note to pay for it. The owner waved me off without having to pay, but with a smile.
This was around 1 year ago, but the moment and the small kindness stayed with me. I have been back more frequently since and always make a point of buying something, even if I don't need or want anything.

Very expensive. I understand that the cost of living is going up, but these guys are taking the biscuit, well they would be if I could afford it. I was asked to leave after pointing out that sugar free drinks should cost less than full sugar drinks. Needless to say I left and won't be returning.
