Co-op Food - Magor - Newport Road

The shop my friends and I get everything from when we are out. In our social hub it is truly a great place to be.

Pretty standard small co op convenience store selling booze and sandwiches as well as groceries. Ridiculous queuing system up one of the isles meaning you can't shop in it !!! No self service tills.

As convenience stores go this one is okay. A decent range of products on offer but they never have enough staff on the shop floor or behind the tills

Inconsistent social distancing, beware.
Whilst waiting for a little old lady 2m down an aisle, a man passed me within 1m. I tell him 2m, he says what about it. Shop assistant, who was next to us stacking shelves, barks at me,"you can ask people to step to one side". Wasn't me that broke the 2m social distancing laws!
Anyway, that doesn't work in a small shop with narrow aisles.

Not a great store. Queues, no chilled drinks and very little local produce. Poor

Team very friendly and helpful.
Good selection of food especially under the current issues with external world transportation crisis.

Not a very good service here. Girl on checkout, Emily told me my membership card was already scanned even before I got it up on my phone to scan, wouldn't go back for me to scan it. Paid for goods and receipt say no membership card scanned. The manager Jason told me nothing they could do got to ring coop and tell them points didn't go on. Absolutely no help whatsoever in this store.

Terrible staff who barked at people entering the store that too many people were in there (nobody was shopping, just a queue around the store with 1 person serving). Then the woman on the till asked for I.d and questioned my girlfriends gender! Really??
