I love the economist. But the deliberate obstacles they employ to stop you canceling their subscription is a real shame. You hope a magazine with such high quality content would have more respect for their readers. Just look-up their Trust Pilot score to see this in action. If they wanted to, they could easily introduce a one-button cancellation option on the members area of their website.

Also, the online subscription is poor, as it constantly makes you re-login to access articles, defeating the point of the subscription in the first place.

Just wait till you want to cancel. If you knew this when you signed up, you wouldn't have.

Since I've had a trial subscription, they keep bugging me with unsollicited advertisements by email and letter. My request to delete my data has been ignored.

Don’t subscribe! They spam you and terror call you if you want to cancel the subscription. It’s a shame!
