Thorney Park has a large and very beautiful lake, leased by the British Carp Study Group for angling. Dog walking is permitted, and the Colne Valley trail walking and cycling route runs through the park. There are occasional cars parked by the anglers, but it's very peaceful.

Rabbits and squirrels can be seen in the scrubland Northwest of the lake, which is criss-crossed by grass paths. The path around the lake itself is packed clay, suitable for cycling and probably wheelchairs when it's dry in the summer. A tunnel under the M25 allows access to a path that runs around the fields south and west of the lake.

A very good place to camp by the lake and spend time in the Nature. A go to place for a evening walk or jogging and even take your doggo for a stroll. Very clean water and the water faul adds to the beauty. You can join the coln Brook trail from here but due to the m4 bridge construction the way is blocked.

This tidy and clean park with a central attraction of a lovely lake with beautiful birds living and visiting. Sanctuary for quite picnics and relaxing with nature in any season 😍

Went here for the first time today, after reading great reviews. What wasn't expected was the amount of dog mess on the paths that hadn’t been cleared, along with one owner who let his dog do a poo in the middle of the walk path as we were walking and not clearing up after it. Noise from the motorway is horrendous. They also have an invasion of a moth that is dangerous to pets and humans so sections have been closed along the lake shore. Not a place I’d like to revisit anytime soon also if you are a lone female, I wouldn’t recommend visiting here alone.

Great place to walk, spend quiet time, enjoy nature and can take your dog too. Really amazing place.

Apart from the noise of the M25 this is a beautiful place to walk around. Even better now BCC has decided to give it some care

It is a great place to walk, jog, or take your dog. The water is clean. Not a lot of people, which was great to have your own space. Consider the highway next door.

Went to relax for the day but the place is next to highway. So, it was very noisy and not maintained.
