Silverdale Country Park

Award winning country park. Lovingly maintained with a lake and lovely walks. Nature preserve areas with plenty of wildlife. Some nice artwork throughout the park. It's is also very quiet.

A great local walk with the right weather, the area is beautifully cared for by the local green team . Good for children and adults who are interested in wildlife or the history of the miners.

We had a lovely walk around the lake with both our dogs, the dogs enjoyed there swim in the lake. It is a pitty that there isn't any toilets or cafe on the site otherwise what a fantastic site it would be.

Beautiful. Love taking my dogs. The volunteers and the warden are amazing. Im so grateful to live close to this space.

Such a lovely nature reserve, very peaceful and I see something new every time. Love a daily walk here on my lunch break, paths are really good so you don't get muddy and the views are amazing!

We visited Silverdale Country Park for the first time. It’s a beautiful, peaceful place for a walk. Our dog had a lovely time, off lead for most of the walk. We did adhere to the “dogs on leads” signs around the Southern Pool and the Void though! There are lots of different paths to take, so I feel we’ll be back soon to explore a bit more of the park. There are a few different places to park, including across the road at Apedale Country Park!

Lovely place, very relaxing, nice walks, birds of prey are very common too.
Great place for a steady ride as well, wide open paths and fireroads, nothing hard but lovely scenery
