Fantastic free place to visit and walk, always bump into dog walkers when we visit. It's great to give children freedom to run and let them choose the path of adventure. So lucky to have this not too far away from where we live. Another outdoor area of beauty free of charge with a place to park and good for runners too.

If you want to get some fresh air this is the perfect escape from every day life as it offers plenty of footpaths through the heart of a forest. I would highly recommend having a walk with your friends and/or your family.

We love to walk the dogs here. So many trails to follow and explore. Its Nice to find the bushcraft shelters people have worked on. Great for mountain bikes and horse riders too. Lots of wildlife 💚 Just be mindful that a lot of different people use these woodlands, including the fact that it is a working forest, So forest machinery.
The only negatives:
the trash some people leave behind:
dogs of their leashes: (we have been charged at a few times now)
dog poo left in the middle of the pathways or poo bags slung into trees and bushes.

Great place but a little muddy and overgrown in places so go prepared for an adventure, picnic areas and plenty of parking, great for a dog walk but it is a little challenging in places so not for less able walkers. Plenty of different routes to explore or you could wander through the woods.

Lovely spot to stretch out and get rid of those lockdown cobwebs.

Lots options for trail walks or mountain biking.

Definitely a spot for pets (please pick up after your pets and toss the poopie bags in a proper bin) and for that fresh breath of nature.

There's logging works in a few stretches, so be careful.

It is a lovely space but some have chosen to litter the place with emptied alcoholic cans, smokes, etc...would have been lovely if everyone remembers to "leave it better than when you found it if not as is"
