Liked: The location was excellent, we hopped on a bus, with a very friendly bus drive who said that a 16 year old, 18 year old and 2 adults can get to Nottingham town centre for £6 return 👍 and explained where we can get the bus to and from.
The kids really enjoyed the white water rafting and I enjoyed the paddle boarding, which was only a short walk away (they do recommend booking online but I wanted to see it first before booking) and luckily we managed to book in for the following day. Showers and toilets where always clean, even though there was only 3 showers I never had to wait.

Disliked: Our pitch was originally in a corner under trees, the floor was covered in twigs and stones, we have quite a big tent and if we were to park as instructed, car to the left (which I think has been relaxed because nobody did it) we would never of gotten our car out once the tent was up, I went to reception and asked if we could be moved, they did so without any fuss and moved us to a lovely big field with its own toilet block and we only had a few neighbours the 5 days we were there. Lovely and peaceful. Even though states cafe/restaurant there isn’t one, they had an ice cream van that was open and a burger van that didn’t.

Liked: Excellent site, close to the watersports centre the kids loved the high ropes and inflatable course. Site was nicely set out with water points and clean toilet/shower facilities, good play park for smaller children. Will definitely return.

Disliked: My only small improvement points would be some pot wash facilities and toilets a little closer to the Brook Field end of the site and the addition of an enclosed dog field :)

Liked: The open spaces that the children could play on. The park was a good size and fenced in, which is great with small children. The shower block and toilets were clean and easy to use.
Water tapes readily available, the site is a short walk to the water park activities which is great. The high ropes were great fun. The pod was a good size and the beds were comfortable.

Disliked: The back window in the pod needs a black out curtain like the front door in the summer. However we used a towel.

Liked: The location of the the site is directly opposite the water sports centre, so can be easily walked or cycled.
The site was very clean, tidy and very well maintained. Toilets and showers kept to a reasonable standard.
The activities at the water sports were well priced, we got involved with kayaking, paddle boarding and the sky trail. And all were very much enjoyed. The lifegaurds and staff were very approachable and friendly, even though they were young, looked well trained to deal with any eventuality.

Within a short cycle ride were shops and a pub. A Green King pub so reasonable prices for drinks and food, with a large outdoor seating area and a play area.

The local bus was a short walk away to get you in to Nottingham City centre, passing the cricket and football grounds.

Overall a good place to stay.

Disliked: The only problem we found other than mosquitos, remember you are close to water sports centre and the river trent, is that nearly all the sinks had no plugs in the sinks.

Liked: Nice big pitches, well maintained site pitches and kept clean. Good park for the kids, we felt very safe and secure.
The cleankng staff we encountered were polite and friendly.

Disliked: The toilets and shower facilities need some real attention, there's no where to keep clothes and towels off the floor in the older building and the water was freezing.
In the newer building the temperatures were perfect but still no where to put towels and clothes other than 1 chair. There really needs to be hooks and a shelf in each shower cubicle. Also no shelf above the sinks in the newer shower block???
Too many toilets were not working, in both ladies and gents, also the lights in the gents were not good and a toilet seat hanging off.
The cleaning staff were there first thing but as people were taking flip flops on to the shower cubicles they quickly became dirty and needed more attention maybe a sign asking people not to take shoes in?

Liked: Got a good sized roomy pitch at a good price and at the far end where it was a bit quieter away from most children and group bookings which was nice, had more mature couples surrounding us. Staff were helpful when I had issues with electric, check in was simple and hassle free with the details and map all on email.

Disliked: Maintenance of the bathroom/wash facilities could have been more regular.
On night 2 a random couple pitched up in our neighbours pitch, in front of them blocking them in with their tent and car, obviously not their pitch and our neighbour let it be known to them but they ignored them and illegaly stayed there the night anyway, so security could be better to prevent illegal pitchers ruining it for the rest.

Liked: It was nice and quiet as there weren't many campers during our stay. Self check in was smooth, retrieval of key to deluxe arch was easy with passcode sent to email before arrival. Toilets were pleasantly cleaner than expected for a campsite. There were 4 power point sockets and we could charge our devices all at the same time. We paid 45 pounds for a night's stay and loved the cosy heated cabin with a double bed that was comfortable for two, they even had a sofa bed and extra pillow for an extra camper. It was a wonderful stay and we had the best time celebrating my husband's birthday! Don't forget the beautiful night sky, I've not seen so many stars in my life! We would definitely come back again and stay for at least two nights to explore further.

Disliked: WiFi was not working
