Hobbycraft Newport

Owner of dripping mad wax and often come here for little extras to give my stuff that personal little touch. We've been served several times by the same woman, who has been so helpful and friendly. I will make the point of asking her name next time.

Disabled parking right by shop. I can't use a trolley or basket as I am on elbow crutches. Assistant got a bag for me and came with me to find the modelling clay and paints I needed and carried my purchases to the till. Offered to walk with me to my car. There was a super selection and my eleven and 9 year old grandchildren then spent 10 hours totally absorbed in making some lovely models.

It is an excellent store, but they do lack seasonal items. For example preserve covers, they didn’t have one except posh ones, that the normal shopper that makes a lot of preserves could not afford. Also, during covid, they could have had a lot more items like painting by numbers that would have helped the lockdown public. There is a gap in their forward thinking. Something to take on board. Staff are always pleasant it isn’t their fault.

Well laid out no problem getting chair in and out of aisles. Staff were pleasent and very helpful. And it was enjoyable looking at all the stuff they sell.

Well stocked neat and the staff are friendly. I really enjoy the crafty displays like the knitted rainbow over the wool item that make it feel a bit more personal than just another shop.

A good shop with a lot of products to choose from. There is really no hobby you could have that they wouldn’t have items for.
Only 4* because the prices are extortionate and there’s not enough staff to serve you.

They had exactly what I wanted, but the place has so much cctv that due to being on a come down from my night out raving, I was far too paranoid to slip anything into my jacket and had to pay for everything instead.

Wide variety of tools and supplies. The staff is really polite and helpful. What good customer service.
