I’ve trained customer service operatives in the past and if I’d turned out anyone with this level of hostility, disinterest and common or garden rudeness I’d be ashamed! Whoever is in charge of dishing out the franchises ought to think very carefully about their decision!
Very rude staff behind the counter who are evidently extremely unhappy with what they do for a living.

I will be going out of my way to not use this post office when that horrid lady is in there.
Edit: I put in a formal review and suggest you do the same if you've had a bad time. I sent it ages ago and yet these nasty staff are still getting away with bad behaviour. Go to Royal Mail's website and go for it, you have nothing to lose.
Enter at your own risk. What a rude, miserable old woman. As soon as I walked in there with my 2 young children I could tell we wasn’t wanted there. I was returning 2 parcels and sending 2 others, whilst doing this my little girl was looking at the cards and slightly folded an envelope to which she told me I would have to buy the whole card. I refused as the envelope was hardly damaged. She the told me to take all my parcels, in any other shop this would never be a problem. This is not the first time I’ve encountered rude attitude from her. The haggard woman shows no remorse. This post office needs new staff that understand children are children.
The previous postmaster, Simon and his team were all wonderful, helpful and friendly.
Since the new management has taken over sadly this isn’t the case. It’s now poorly run with rude, unhelpful and disinterested staff. The queue is often long/slow with only one counter open and no apology for the wait. The cards, shelves, stationary and wrapping paper frequently have large empty gaps in stock.
The post office is a hub and vital heart of the community. If you lack customer skills and the motivation why take it on?
After years of supporting this branch I will be taking my business elsewhere. I’m sure many others have already done so. Very sad and disappointing.
