I have been visiting The Dental Practice since I was a child. Caroline is very good at what she does: friendly, polite, and professional. I cannot imagine a better NHS dentist around in the area.

Sadly however, the same cannot be said about the receptionist on the day of my most recent visit, a couple of months ago. I was trying to sort out the payment for my treatment. I work full time but have also been claiming Universal Credit, so I spent an anxious few minutes trying to retrieve my login details to find out if I was eligible for my payment to be discounted. It had been a while since my last visit to the practice and a lot has changed in that time, so I was unfamiliar with the procedure. I had also just had a filling, so was feeling a little bit numb, both literally and figuratively speaking. I do not know the receptionist's name from that day but I felt that despite her trying to help, she came across as being a little bit condescending and rude. I had also been having troubles at work at the time, which had seriously affected my mental health. I would like to suggest that this receptionist should #bekind and think about others, especially when dealing with sensitive issues such as money.

Also, Caroline's assistant phoned me the following day, just to ask me how I paid. Could she not have found out this information from the receptionist or looked up my file? I do not like having my daily routine disrupted without good reason (this is an Autism thing) and thought that her call was rather unnecessary.

As a nervous dental patient I looked in more detail to find a good dental practise. I really got lucky with Stockwell Lodge it is an exceptional dental practise in every way
The Ladies at reception are superb. Jo and Lynn do a wonderful job keeping everything running smoothly in a cheery very professional way.They always politely remind me of when my I appointments are, and simply make a difficult job look so easy.
Tazim and Sarah are without a doubt the best dental team I have ever encountered(I have attended over 30 dental practises). They actually care and are extremely knowledgable about there profession. I really always feel at ease when I attend Stockwell Lodge. Something I never thought I would feel about visiting the dentist.
I know I never say it enough but I would to say a big that you to you all. As Tina Turner sings you are Simply The Best.

I am very disappointed with this practice. I have been a patient at this practice since it’s inception and prior to that with the previous owner.
I saw Tazim in November 2021 and discussed removal of old amalgam fillings as recommended by my oral surgeon due to health concerns. Her response was “ I wouldn’t want to rush into that”
By January 2022 my oral condition had worsened and I was suffering discomfort and pain. I asked the practice manager to talk to Tazim on my behalf. A request for the next oral surgery report ensued. I felt that this was more procrastination so I emailed the practice (fao Tazim) on 27th January clearly asking whether she’d be prepared to do this dental work for me as it was becoming urgent.
A call from the surgery on 5th March, about an appointment they’d forgotten to cancel, confirmed receipt of my email as it had been attached to my records. I told Sarah how upset I was at being totally ignored and that I wouldn’t be back and I was happy for her to let the reason be known. She apologised profusely and there has been no contact since.
I am unable to recommend this practice.

I’m not sure why you would invite me to contact your surgery to discuss this matter in confidence. That’s exactly what I’ve been trying to do and you have chosen to ignore me. Your standard response to a poor review will cut no ice with discerning readers.

This was my first positive dentist experience for quite some time.
From getting my appointment a lot earlier than planned due to a cancellation to the comfort everyone there gave me, my experience was brilliant.
My dentist Kausar was wonderful and so reassuring as I was clearly very nervous about my appointment. She put me at ease from the very start. The procedure I had went smoothly and I couldn’t thank the staff enough for how comfortable they made me feel, Nurse Elizabeth was so nice too.
Thanks again for making a usually daunting experience, very smooth sailing.

Mum was concerned for weeks about her teeth after her recent check up. Just like to say a big thank you to the practice in seeing her at very short notice and putting her mind at rest with their positive feedback. Thanks again.

My wife had a bad Weekend with severe tooth pain. On the Monday she phoned the surgery and they arranged for her to come into the surgery immediately. The tooth was removed without any fuss. Fantastic service by Dentist and reception. 5 stars I would highly recommend this practice.

Don't book here if you want family booked together. Booked my son here when l was busy because it was near my place and he needed a dentist. Big mistake because after a year l am being told that l cannot register there because they are too busy. Every time l have gone there l have seen families of up to 6 being newly registered. Now l have the inconvenience of moving my son mid treatment. The reason makes no sense as l often get numerous messages for me to book appointments for my son when he does not need anything. The dentist is very friendly but her reception staff is unpleasant and act as if they are forced to be on duty.

Have been a patient for a number of years. I have found it to be professional and patient friendly. Staff are efficient and will take the time and effort to accommodate your appointment and treatment. In the surgery, you are treated calmly and effectively. Your previous visit and treatment are reviewed on each appointment and any treatment plans are followed up.
Would highly recommend.
