I was referred here by the NHS for an emergency appointment and was quite nervous about seeing a new dentist.

As can be expected with a busy service, they were running a little late and we’re super apologetic about this which was nice of them but the wait wasn’t too long at all.

They were really welcoming and understanding of my situation and quickly identified the issue and gave me a prescription as well as further advice to help ease the pain I was experiencing and the mitigate it in the future (wisdom teeth 🙄)

Friendly and understanding staff, thank you!

Four times I’ve been to this dentist, and four times they have left me sat there for half an hour, and forgot all about me. I book another appointment, and I turn up on time, they already have a a customer in, but then they came out telling me that they were a bit late, so I sat there for 25 minutes waiting, and there was already a chap sat in the waiting room, is he therefore before me because if that’s the case I would probably be still sitting there for another half hour at least. And if a private patient from another dentist needs emergency dentistry, they get treated even when you have an appointment booked. Because I phoned up my dentist for an emergency appointment and could not get one. So I went online and booked in for an emergency appointment with any dentist, so how come my Dentist answered the call and despite not been able to get me in for an appointment before, they managed to do it but was surprised when I turned up, because it’s my Dentist! I have to also turn round and say that I am disabled and in a wheelchair, there are not that many dentists that have an entrance where I can just open the door and go in.

If I were you I would find somewhere else.

I was referred here for an extraction by my usual practice. I’m always nervous at dentists and when there’s needles involved, but I needn’t have been here. The dental surgeon was absolutely brilliant from beginning to end, and took great trouble to explain everything, both as he went along and about what I should do post-extraction. Based on my experience today, I would not hesitate to return here, or to recommend.

No issue with how quickly I was seen for my emergency appointment but I was told by the dentist that I had a hole in my tooth. He proceeded to not do anything about it despite it being the source of my pain, then 3 weeks later half of my tooth has come off.

I got an emergency appointment straight away. Receptionist was very nice and eficient. Dentist saw me super quick, did an x-ray and referred me to a surgeon. Got an appointment for couple of days after and the surgery was super quick and didn;t feel a thing.
Highly recommended. Efficient and quick service and everyone at the practice are very nice.

I've been to Chopra twice for emergencies. Both experiences left me with severe injection site pain that I have not experienced after visiting other dentists.

The dentist tested my sensitivity by shoving ice on my painful tooth without any warning.

He gave me a temporary filling and said he would replace it with a permanent one after a week, provided it was not causing me pain (and thereby needing a root canal).

When I came back in a week, he refused to place the permanent filling and suddenly said I needed a crown over the temp one which would be at minimum £400.

I can't afford that, so I'm left having paid for a filling but only having a temporary one. I came all the way in just to have ice shoved on my gums again that left me in the same pain I came in complaining of to begin with!

Honestly the worst dentists i’ve been too, i phoned up after speaking to a GP who said it was important i be seen due to having an impacted wisdom tooth causing facial and jaw swelling on top of tonsillitis, the receptionist was blunt on the phone but i was in so much pain i took the appointment.
I arrived, greeted the receptionist who completely ignored me at first and carried on chatting to other staff members and tapping on her computer. Even once done there was no hello, just asked for my name and instantly told me to pay £55 before being seen. She then thrust the receipt at me and told me to wait upstairs. I wasn’t sure where upstairs was so went the wrong way before finding it myself.

The waiting room was tiny and cramped, the worst harsh lighting, looked dirty and smelt like it was housing Canterburys homeless, on top of feeling really ill i sat there desperately trying not to gag and covering my nose.

After about 15 minutes the dentist came out, asked me why i was there. I explained i was in a lot of pain and desperately needed my wisdom tooth taking out. She instantly told me i have to be seen 3 times for the same problem so that wasn’t likely to happen today, i was then given an x-ray and told as well as it being impacted i had an ulcer. and the nerve is close to the tooth so i was just to wait and see if the pain gets better on it’s own. I was also warned that having 2 lots of antibiotics at the same time was likely to cause oral thrush, she then gave me an unreadable prescription of 15 antibiotic tablets and sent on my way.

When arriving at the chemists they too struggled to read the prescription, my name had been spelt wrong and my address was so unreadable they couldn’t find me on the system which caused a long delay, on top because they classed my appointment as an emergency i had to pay just under £10 for the 15 tablets so in total £65 for a pointless 4 minutes. Honestly i could cry, we’re in a cost of living crisis, i pay tax like many others and £65 is a lot of money to me. I wouldn’t mind if i was given a proper service and the problem fixed but i feel worse off than i did before and now wish i’d stayed at home.
