Dental Care Centre

I’ve been going to Dental Care Centre for 6 years now and Maarten and his team have been fantastic. He has done a lot of work on my teeth and it’s been excellent every time. Everyone is very friendly and accommodating. Lynn in reception is friendly, reassuring and compassionate. Would definitely recommend this dental practice.

I booked a private scale and polish at this dentist and arrived on time. However, upon turning up, the receptionist bluntly told me that I would also need to book a consultation at a cost of £35, doubling the cost and time of the appointment. When questioning this, she told me that it was their policy and couldn't be altered, and alluded that it was my fault for not knowing the rules, despite the surgery never informing me of their policy in the seven emails and three text messages they had sent me before the appointment. This information also doesn't appear on their website, so how on earth was I supposed to know? They had my phone number but didn't bother to call me.

So after getting there on time, I cancelled the appointment, to the receptionist's evident satisfaction. When leaving, I politely told her that I really should have been informed of the surgery's policy before I arrived, and that I deserved an apology for my wasted time. She started to say something but bit her lip and then said that she would inform the practice manager.

This dental practice may provide the best dental treatment in Canterbury, but I'll never know because its administrative staff have no organisational abilities, customer focus or manners. The obnoxious way I was dealt with left me quite angry. I advise you to avoid this dysfunctional place.

I have been a patient with the Dental Care Centre for many years and have always found the dental treatment to be of an exemplary standard and the staff to be highly professional and approachable.
Lynn on reception is always very helpful and very supportive, especially where patients may be anxious. This is replicated by Marten and his most excellent dental nurse - procedures are clearly explained, methods used very up to date and efficient and when needed patient well being is a priority. Although I would prefer to be an NHS patient I have not attempted to leave this practice as the standard of care, materials used and professional attitudes are well worth the cost! Thankyou to the team!

I have been using this practice since it opened and have had Maarten as my dentist for over 25 years. During this time my treatment has been excellent. He is not only very professional but an exceptional dentist. My teeth have been a challenge from day one due to my previous reluctance to attend however Maarten has changed all that.
All the team are excellent and welcoming. I would highly recommend the practice to anyone.

The Dental Care Centre really does live up to its title!
Every conceivable aspect of the dental surgery functioning is first class, there is no more that needs to be said !
However, I have just noticed a negative post by a Ben Cevik that needs to be addressed, I could not disagree more with his comments, my experience is totally the opposite, the Reception run by Lynn is first first class.

I hate going to the dentist - who doesn't? But I have to say Maarten is the best I've met - thoroughly professional and highly competent but also relaxed, good humoured and gentle. Very impressed - highly recommended.

The doctor caused me a bone infection, because he didn't prescribe antibiotics after a procedure, and didn't clean the place of my gum he lifted, and later I went to see him with pain and he took an x-ray and said everything was fine, so the infection continued, and I had to have surgery two days ago because of that. Ruined my health snd my Christmas.
