Awful. She is clearly far too busy to care. She’s just rushing back and forth from one surgery to the next. With this much lack of care and so much rushing about I feel a big mistake will happen soon or the dentist is going to collapse. She had no time to discuss anything just sees you as quick as she can. I had my teeth scaled with ultrasonic scaler my god I was jumping out of the seat as my teeth are sensitive. I kept saying ouch but she just carried on. I put my hand up so she’d stop. Also I had an injection for an extraction I thought she’d rammed the needle through my cheek and it was coming out the other side! I’m not a wimp but this injection was agony as she rushed as quick as she could. First rule of delivering anaesthetic by injection is to do it slowly as it’s less painful!! I think she missed that lesson in dental school. I’ve never been to nhs dentist before and I won’t be going back to her. I’m going private as paying for their time and compassion is definitely worth it. She and dentists like her are the reason nobody likes the dentist! She needs to slow down and show some compassion. Dental nurse was nice.

The lack of care and compassion shown towards my daughter was unbelievable. Totally unprofessional practise. One man band that clearly takes on way more than she should. You'll find that this is the only NHS dentist that's ever taking on in this area and that's for a reason and I feel its because they lose so many patients. To tell someone who has chronic toothache that there's nothing they can do even temporary whilst they are waiting for xrays (don't get me started on that fiasco), and 'you'll have to just get on with it', even though that patient has said rhe amount of painkillers they were taking was making them seriously ill and unable to care for their daughter is shocking. Steer clear at all costs, save up and pay privately if you have to but do not use this practise.

Initially, I thought this was a nice friendly dental practice. However, I was soon to discover they have no compassion or care for unexpected events. I had to cancel two appointments for my son due to COVID. Unfortunately, he didn't test negative by the time the rescheduled appointment came around. I couldn't give notice for the Monday appointment as they were closed over the weekend and didn't have an answerphone to leave a message. I called first thing Monday morning to notify them, for them to be quite rude and to be told my son will never be seen again! What could I have done? Either do the right thing and ask to reschedule or take my son in with COVID! They're an absolute joke. I am moving my whole family to a more caring dental practice. AVOID THIS PLACE!

My first visit today for a check up and plan some repair work. Perfectly organised the first person i met was the dental nurse who was very sociable and friendly. My treatment with Helen was brilliant and very thorough. Ive never had a dentist explain so clearly throughout and show me my xrays. Realy pleased with the professional service.. no hesitation in recommending this practice. Cheers, Mike the barber

Because smile dentist in coalville kicked me off the NHS list because I hadn't been there in over two years I had to find a new NHS dentist. I found that St Helens were taking on NHS patients. I noticed that there were mixed reviews on Google Maps. So I went ahead for my dental work. Well I was overwhelmed by how nice they all were. Also Dr Helen is so good at making you feel at ease. She did the work explaining everything as she went along. Had a great ultrasonic descale and clean. well worth paying extra for. Undoubtedly the most pleasant dental treatment I have ever had.

I had to go for a tooth extraction and they were brilliant, I was kept calm by them reassuring me it's going good and the dentist even said sorry if the tooth snapped which i thought was nice that they actually cared, will definitely be going back.

Called to book and appointment for my hubby, only to be told I couldn’t due to gdpr rules, I have never had problems booking with the doctors or hospital, I did comment that the world had gone snowflakey and it’s ridiculous (heard by two of my work colleagues on speaker ) to which the lady I was talking to said someone would call me back, this happened and apparently I was rude and aggressive and I called the previous person a snow flake now I’m de registered, I have said how unprofessional they are and that I didn’t call anyone a snowflake, I actually thought initially they were a great practice but now I’d never recommend to anyone, rude and very unprofessional, if you want great service and professional dentistry find somewhere else !

Not very impressed with this dentist..
Paid for whitening trays which don’t come cheap.. only to be told they don’t have any teeth whitening gel and don’t have any idea how long it might be before they get some. Wouldn’t be an issue if I could get it from other dentists (who all have it), however understandably other dentist aren’t willing to sell it to me unless I’m a patient with them. If I knew the dentist was going to have issues supplying the gel I would have gone else where to get my trays done..

Secondly I wasn’t impressed with the care I received when having a filling due to the dentist catching my lip with the drill which brought blood and took a week to heal. I was ok with this at the time as mistakes happen.. however after reading other reviews I can see other patients have commented on being hurt also due to her being in such a maniac rush. Will be searching high and low for a new dentist.
