PETTS HILL DENTAL PRACTICE- I called the surgery regarding a tooth infection and was surprised how quickly the appointment was arranged.
Dr Shekarchi talked through me the procedure and answered any questions I had.
I was pleasantly surprised how well the procedure went and did not experience any pain or discomfort.
I would like to thank Dr Shekarchi and the staff for being very courteous and professional.
Keep up the good work ! Review sent of behalf of the patient Mr Tariq Abbassi

If you can I'd advise you to go elsewhere. I've been going here since very young, and since Mr Barker has left, this dentist has lost its charm. One of the receptionist, in particular, needs to work on her people skills. I had an appointment recently, and they weren't ready when I arrived, so 5 minutes later, they decided to call in the other person in the waiting room before me even though my appointment was first. They were already running 10 minutes late. Then when I asked the receptionist why, she was very condescending till she saw I had my phone in my hand and thought I was recording, so changed her entire attitude. Before this, though, she kept arguing it was my fault because I was supposedly 15+ minutes late to my appointment, which I was not, and even the appointment text confirmation proved otherwise. I don't usually write reviews, but I am very disappointed in how I was treated. This is not the only time I've had issues here I'm glad to have found a new dentist.

My son needed emergency dental care and was told no appointments available for a month as dentist going on holiday. Had to get emergency dental help via 111. Would not recommend.

Was registered hair with my children haven't had to have dental treatment for the last 3 1/2 years or so due to pandemic when I did phone up to ask for appointment I was told I had to pay a fee of £49 per person to re-register absolutely disgusting even if you're on NHS it doesn't matter when question on the phone about the feed I was very rude I would not recommend this place

I had been a patient here for 26 years but after my recent experience I will never use this Dentist again. After booking and having to pay for the Hygeinist in advance by the Dentist, I was unable to attend due to being unwell. I called on the day to explain and reschedule but was told I'd have to pay a further £65 fee to do so. The receptionist was rude and unhelpful. I insisted on a refund as I couldn't help being unwell. I had to then make a lot of phone calls and complaints to be told that there was a 24-hour cancellation policy. I was not informed at any time when I booked the appointment and paid in advance that there was a 24-hour cancellation policy. After speaking to the practice manager at another site, who was very helpful, she agreed to give me a part refund. The practice manager also said that the receptionist at Petts Hill had told her that she had informed me of the cancellation policy at the time of booking, which was a complete lie! After 26 years of being a patient here, this is how they treat people. What happened to the lovely Nicky on reception and the other lady on reception, who were always friendly, polite, and helpful. The current receptionist is just awful. I know Mr Barker retired, and since then, there have been various dentists. Avoid at all costs. This practice is only interested in taking your money.

Truly has gone down hill quickly. Have been going here for over 20 years and since Mr Barker left I’ve had 3 bad appointments. Firstly, I had a small front filling replaced. I said it felt as if there was glue all over back and was more or less told not so. Over the course of the next few days I had bits peeling off it. There is also a gap that wasn’t there before. Next a filling that was sharp and cutting, had to filled back despite being told again it was fine. Another tooth left with a gap. Dentist kept pushing for private crowns, private treatments, private, private, private!

Finally, I queried why I didn’t get polish with checkup and was told they don’t do that anymore despite this being part of the NHS treatment.

There is one rude, abrupt receptionist who started when MR Barker left.

Not impressed, finding another dentist.

Been coming here a few years, the latest dentist suggested separate hygienist sessions, which I think has lead to better results, rather than trying to do in normal session. Can be accommodating on appointments with some even on Sundays. Small practice just one room, but that also means it’s quiet and not busy.
