Dr Azari is a terrible dentist. She completed a totally substandard filling which took her less than a minute. She charged me for a permanent filling despite telling me I needed to return for an onlay for permanent fix on the tooth ASAP. After complaining I went to another dentist who confirmed the ‘permanent’ filling Dr Azari did was already coming loose after only a couple of weeks. The dentist was then able to sort the tooth out properly with far less and invasive and cheaper procedure than Dr Azari had suggested. I believe she is a crook, trying to charge for unnecessarily expensive work. NHS should investigate her as I think she was adding all this work thinking I was exempt from paying. Go to a decent dentist who will treat your teeth with the respect and care they deserve.

I want to complain about the behaviour of a dentist and her assistant under Ms M Azari's practice, who is based at the Hillview Dental Centre, Catford. the dentist cut the inside of my mouth with the drill as she was carrying out the filling procedure. She then tried to continue but I shouted you just cut me. When I rinsed my mouth it was full of blood and she again tried to continue; at this point I was shaken up. I asked for a mirror to see the extent of the damage and she rudely said you must have moved. I was outraged. I told her that I didn't move and then the assistant said it was an accident. I did not get an apology nor was the situation dealt with in a sensitive manner and they were both unsympathetic when I got upset. Instead the dentist went on to discuss me needing more procedures (replacing a filling) and if I wanted to book them in. I then abruptly said I will not be returning.

In addition, I was not informed when the procedure was over, I had to ask whilst they were packing away, adding to my stress even more as they left me in the chair. As I went to leave the dentist gave me a blank form to sign (FP17DC) I asked what the form was and why I was not given it without an explanation. The dentist then continued to ask me to just sign it without disclosing the information on the form until I insisted for the third time and that she needs to fill in the information on her part. The assistant then hastily mentioned that every procedure you have to fill out this form. I explained that it was important to explain to me why I am receiving and signing the form before expecting me to sign it she (the assistant) then rolled her eyes.

This was not the experience I hoped for and on top of this I waited half an hour before being seen.

I'm now too frightened to go back to the practice and the dentist all together.

Terrible service recieved, I will be changing my dentist with immediate effect. On initial assessment was told I needed my tooth extracted and they were going to refer to another dentist for whatever reason. At the time was told I would be referred the same day or next day to be told when I called back that the dentist is not in and wont be in for a couple of days. Advised Im in pain and cant wait that long and also wasnt given Abx until I had to ask for them. I then has to wait nearly 2 months for my tooth extraction during which I called them again and was told I could get an appointment for nearly 2 weeks and I would have to pay for the treatment in advance. I tried to call them again following my extraction as I ended up with a infection and was given abx but its still hurting, the earliest appointment I could get was nearly 2 weeks again. This is not acceptable or an appropriate service, what about emergencies. They have no service to deal with them and paying so far ahead of time, it was not like that before.

Phoned up to book assessment as new patient and told I must pay for the assessment appointment upfront. This is after the operator put me on hold. So I am expected to give her my card details over the phone and more so apparently having the appt doesn't mean I get registered as a a patient there.
I read on NHS website that
'You should not be asked to pay anything before an assessment of your treatment needs has been carried out.'
This seems to breach and gives a massive red flag, something is not right here. I would avoid them..

***AVOID***AVOID***AVOID***
Rubbish customer service.
We arrived before our scheduled appointment before 14.00 to make sure forms were signed pre-appointment but found the reception closed, the phone line diverted to answer machine, and when I pressed the entrance buzzer, nobody came. We called upstairs to alert staff we were waiting, by this time we’d been there over 25 mins - nothing!

Eventually a guy popped his head down the stairs and told me everyone was in a meeting and to wait another 10 mins. No apology or anything, so we waited, another 10 mins went by and we left.

The temperature outside was over 40 degrees, the waiting room didn’t have any water or air conditioning and we had no idea why they needed to have a meeting when patients had appointments.

I made a complaint and not surprisingly they ignored it.

DO NOT USE this dentist! Crown fell off after one day! The lead practitioner is a woman and she is poorly trained! Choose another dentist it’s not worth the hassle!

Writing this review on behalf of my mother who has been a patient at the service for 17 years. In her time she has been left waiting for her dental appt on several occasions; which makes it even more disappointing as the first time my mum is late for her appointment due to extenuating circumstances she is told that she will be charged and will have to pay to rebook. She was left absolutely dumbfounded by the unsympathetic and rude receptionist who refused to use her discretion. It really is a business with no care for their customers, no matter how long they have been going. Hillview Dental Centre has lost a patient or shall I say customer.

I had a great experience at Hillview Dental Centre! The hygienist was very patient and kind. The staff were also welcoming. I look forward to my next appointment!
