In addition, I was not informed when the procedure was over, I had to ask whilst they were packing away, adding to my stress even more as they left me in the chair. As I went to leave the dentist gave me a blank form to sign (FP17DC) I asked what the form was and why I was not given it without an explanation. The dentist then continued to ask me to just sign it without disclosing the information on the form until I insisted for the third time and that she needs to fill in the information on her part. The assistant then hastily mentioned that every procedure you have to fill out this form. I explained that it was important to explain to me why I am receiving and signing the form before expecting me to sign it she (the assistant) then rolled her eyes.
This was not the experience I hoped for and on top of this I waited half an hour before being seen.
I'm now too frightened to go back to the practice and the dentist all together.
I read on NHS website that
'You should not be asked to pay anything before an assessment of your treatment needs has been carried out.'
This seems to breach and gives a massive red flag, something is not right here. I would avoid them..
Rubbish customer service.
We arrived before our scheduled appointment before 14.00 to make sure forms were signed pre-appointment but found the reception closed, the phone line diverted to answer machine, and when I pressed the entrance buzzer, nobody came. We called upstairs to alert staff we were waiting, by this time we’d been there over 25 mins - nothing!
Eventually a guy popped his head down the stairs and told me everyone was in a meeting and to wait another 10 mins. No apology or anything, so we waited, another 10 mins went by and we left.
The temperature outside was over 40 degrees, the waiting room didn’t have any water or air conditioning and we had no idea why they needed to have a meeting when patients had appointments.
I made a complaint and not surprisingly they ignored it.
