The staff here are amazing! My 5 -year- old had an accident at his Holiday Club which resulted in him having a loose front tooth. 111 advised us to call this practice to see if we could get an emergency appointment,( our regular dentist had no appointments).

The receptionist was so caring, helpful and understanding. Although they did not have scheduling availability they made the time for our emergency situation. This was very meaningful to me, as my partner and I had previously called a few other dentist with no success.

When we arrive we were kindly greeted by the receptionist who quickly helped us through paperwork. As you can imagine, my 5 year old was nervous; however, the staff were very kid-friendly and made him feel at ease. The Dentist was able to extract the loose tooth and relive his pain in minutes. I have not met a kinder, more competent team of staff. We are very grateful to Shorthand Dental Practice for helping us through our dental crisis. x This is a very lovely establishment.

Like most people, I get anxious and scared when going to the dentist. In the past 15yrs, I have been to 6 different dentist and none of them have helped to relieve my anxiety or listened to me when I explained what I didn't like about my teeth, they just did what was necessary. The one thing I hated about myself was my smile, as I had a front crown that never fitted properly and stuck out and the colour match to my other teeth was awful. So, when pictures were taken I used to smile with my mouth closed. A friend of mine recommended Shortlands Dental Practice, so I thought I'd give them a go. It was the best thing I ever did. Rose and all her team, including the receptionist are friendly and welcoming. From the moment I walked in and sat in the dental chair, I was made to feel at ease. They listened to what I had to say and Rose goes above and beyond. She truly wants what is best for her patients, she even hums tunes (always asking permission first), which I find soothing and relaxing. I have complete trust in Rose. Rose and her team are like a little family and they make you feel part of it too. It's only a little surgery and it has a pretty courtyard garden to look at. I would have no hesitation in recommending this dental practice to all my friends and family. Thank you so much Rose and her team xx

Stay away from this dentist! Not only is she very unreliable at keeping appointment times, but she makes up things and extorts money wherever possible (not doing the proper NHS Band treatment and then recommending private treatment at great expense). Very unprofessional.

The dentist here missed a dental abscess that i had during a routine check up. When i pointed out that i suspected it was an abscess she just kind of shrugged and took no action on it.

I’ve recently registered with the practice and had my first extraction yesterday. I had previously refused treatment from other practices meaning I’d had to have a general anaesthetic to complete work. (Due to anxiety/phobia).

However on this occasion I was able to have the extraction whilst awake and without sedation.

Rose and Zara were amazing. They were reassuring and Rose was extremely gentle and knowledgable, taking time to check I understood her. Zara even played music to help distract me. I feel far less anxious now about my next treatments and I can’t wait to have my dream smile.

Abbie on reception, along with a new staff member, was very friendly and informative, ensuring I understood my treatment plan and the next steps.

I’d highly recommend rose and the practice, especially for anxious patients.

On a routine check-up, the dentist seriously lacks communication skill. She does not answer any of my questions when asked. She said that she would refer me for a wisdom tooth extraction but can't tell me where I would be referred to. 2 months on, I am still waiting on that referral.

I also booked a dental clean with the dentist, but the appointments "moved" without notifying me. As a result, I wasted my time going to the practice. Rather than apologising, they questioned that I have not been picking up my calls or checking my emails. ( I have double-checked my emails/call record, I received no communication from them).
