Sherwood Dental Practice

Unfortunately I am only able to give this dental surgery one star as the dentist is never there. Three times now, my children's appointments have been cancelled and then rearranged, usually a couple of months later. It is now over a year since they have had a regular check up. I have taken them out of school early today, to arrive at the dentist and be told the dentist is off sick. They claim to have tried to contact me. No missed calls or messages on my phone. Then to top things off, then see the dentist near school in her gym gear with her boyfriend. Treatment from her associate dentist was always good, but unfortunately it is impossible to see anyone these days. I don't appreciate being lied to and messed around, so moving elsewhere. The Practice Manager seemed very embarrassed.

i called today to be seen as I had a toothache, I was offered an appointment after lunch ( they offered me few options first ) I was seen shortly after my arrival and I was treated by their therapist , treatment was explained in great detail and I was fully aware what I was having done. staff and practice manager were lovely and very welcoming.
going back for further treatment and I highly recommend them.

No hygenist still, time taken to scale and polish by Ms Pienaar was less than 8 minutes - not enough time spent - but cost was still full amount nearly £50! Left and was then treated with disrespect when asked for our records for new dentist (a thing they have to give you!). Not a good place, very nice lady the Dentist but the practice needs a good sorting out. More staff needed and quickly. Always looks closed with blinds drawn.

Sherwood Dental Practice in Mansfield Woodhouse left me seriously disillusioned and utterly frustrated! They only have 1 working dentist (the owner Dr Pienaar) and she saw everyone that needed an appointment from teeth cleaning to root canals for both NHS and private patients! Unfortunately, the practice has been in decline for well over 2 years but being loyal I stayed with the practice, I realise now that it was a foolhardy thing for me to do! It was not unusual for her to over run making me wait about an hour or so after my appointment time just to be seen and that's if the appointment wasn't cancelled as 90% of them were! A ridiculous working practice so much so that all the good caring experienced staff left and were replaced with a younger cheaper far less experienced skeleton staff. Dr Pienaar is nice when or I should say if you get to see her. Nothing is more frustrating than waiting months to see her only to have your appointments cancelled as Dr Pienaar is on holiday, is sick, has Dr's appointments, child commitments as well as a dozen other reasons as to why the appointment you waited months for has been cancelled only to wait another couple of months to have that new appointment cancelled too, as 90% of my appointments were cancelled! Diabolical! My advice to you is to be kind to yourself and find a different dentist!

I visited Dr Pienaar back in September , she knows that i am afraid of the dentist, but she always puts me at ease, yes it does take some time to get to see her , but its worth the wait. She had to do an extraction for me and was very calming and gentle .

Had my first treatment with Soleil and it was fantastic from start to finish, the staff were lovely and professional too. I had the full works, a check up, xrays, dental night/whitening guards moulds and a clean!
I felt like my mouth had a fabulous MOT

Very rude receptionist! It's a shame to be leaving a review based on first impressions, but, due to the disgusting attitude of the receptionist I have not been left any other option... The practice manager needs to know about their front line staff! The woman who is taking your calls is probably losing you business! If you're looking for a private dentist, this one should be your very last resort.
