I would like to thank Dr John Brazier for attending to my emergency call out and follow up appointment whilst my dentist was away on leave. Professional and friendly service throughout with an added personal touch and follow through with the checkup calls and messages to ascertain that I was healing and not in any more pain. Your attention to detail was 10/10 and I would like to let you know that you are my "Angel in disguise".

A shout out also to Melanie on reception for putting up with all my calls and managing to sort out a solution to my problem. Extremely grateful for you.

I hope it wouldn’t happen again to anybody else. I USED to LIKE Portmore dental Weybridge. Please Check all dentist qualifications in GDC(General Dental Council)before your treatment. Most general dentist treat Invisalign and implants which is not right.
Unfortunately all my teeth were ruined by the confident general dentist Eban van der Walt. Before my Invisalign treatment all my teeth were pretty healthy and I had regular check-ups. I trusted in the dentist completely. I was recommended a course of Invisalign to straighten a few slightly misaligned lower teeth. The treatment was supposed to last 5 months but ended up taking 18 months. I was in pain for the for the entire 18 months. Rather than stopping the procedure I was pushed to continue the treatment even though I knew something was not right. Although the procedure did straighten my teeth I was left in constant pain. The mouth guard I was then left with was badly fitted and very painful. It then became clear that the Invisalign procedure had not worked properly as I was left in constant pain. I stopped wearing the mouth guard and all my teeth have now reverted back to their original positions. He recommended seeing an orthodontist for second opinion. Guess what? I found out that the orthodontist is the dentist’s friend. I then had to see several Harley Street Orthodontist and Periodontist’s. The Harley street Dentists recommend I stop the treatment and even stated that I should not have been recommended the treatment because of an auto immune condition and pre diabetes the dentist knew about. At this stage Portmore realised they had got out of depth and offered a partial refund. However I am now several £1000 pounds out of pocket and in constant teeth pain due the an Invisalign treatment I should not have been recommended due to pre-existing medical conditions.

An unbelievable transformation of three rather chipped unsightly teeth to what I once had. John Brazier is an absolute artist and is very reassuring in his manner. Welcoming receptionist Mandy also made the whole experience really rather a pleasure and I never thought I'd say that about a visit to the dentist!

I needed a front, canine tooth implant. As it’s an expensive procedure, I had appointments and quotes from 4 dental practices. However, Portmore Dental can give you a very informed opinion on treatment as, at the first consultation, they take a sophisticated 4D x-ray, which is free if you proceed with them. Two of the other practices examined me and then had to send me somewhere else for this special x-ray for which I would have to pay. Then they would see me again for a treatment plan. The efficiency at Portmore Dental continued in the treatment I received from Dr Styger of extraction, bone graft, implant insertion and temporary crown in one appointment. The price also included the necessary, after surgery, antibiotics and dental care products. There was review at 3 months. Then at 6 months, a consultation with Dr Van der Walt for Impressions for a crown. At the same time, the dental technician joined us to match the colour of the crown to existing teeth. Two weeks later the crown was fitted and it was perfect, demonstrated by the fact that my husband asked “Which tooth is it?” showing how spot on the final work had been. So five stars to both surgeons and to a practice with a friendly ambience.

The Good - treatment for condition I had was done in the end to a satisfactory level
The Bad - very expensive compared to other dentists for work with no reason why
The Ugly - overtly salesy & money focused - a view shared with other parties who have been there. Fair enough with SGH a captive market but definitely not for everyone.

Always friendly and honest.
Not the cheapest but definitely very high quality.

We travel from Somerset to see John and Lois. John has been our dentist for more years than I care to remember - well over 40? We will always travel up and I cannot bear to think of anyone other than John and Lois looking after us. The lovely Mel and reception team too treat us so wonderfully thank you.
