Ashgate Dental Practice

Brilliant staff and a great quality of dentist here!
They made me feel at ease and the dentist was very nice, I didn't feel judged for my poor teeth.
Ill be going back soon and know I'll be in good hands, I highly recommend them.

Went for an emergency appointment last month found out I have a cracked tooth and decided to have this tooth extracted as I was in agony and due to be being pregnant could only take basic pain relief.
The female dentist I saw didn't numb me properly and tried three times to extract the tooth ..each time I was in absolute agony so she had to stop and start.numerous times even though she was aware I was jumping out the seat in pain. I came out the practice with antibiotics and in excruciating pain to the point that I ended up in ane. I now have severe anxiety and I am being sent to Derby by my private dentist to see a specialist who can hopefully sort my tooth out. I've had my wisdom teeth out previously so wasn't anxious prior to coming to this practice, I've never felt pain like it ,like the dentist caused me this day and definatly wouldn't wish it on my worst enemy.
I shouldn't have to jump out my seat crying in pain for the dentist to realise to stop she should of stopped from the first try!

I was a patient here for over 30 years. I hadn't been to the dentist during the pandemic and found that they had user this as an excuse to deregister me as an NHS patient - but I can now re-register as a much more profitable (for them) private patient! I complained as they never gave me notice (as they're legally required to do), but they couldn't even be bothered to respond to my complaint. Disgusted. This practice isn't what it used to be.

The complaint was emailed to the practice email address listed on your website - it's concerning that you claim to have not received it.
Your receptionist claimed that we would have been informed about being deregistered - this never happened.
I'm so sorry your practice has declined to the point that you treat your long-standing patients like this.

Visited today as an NHS 111 referral following a couple of days of agonising toothache ... everyone so helpful and understanding and suitable pencillin prescription issued with advice and suggestions for when I visit my own dentist later this week ... I am a very nervous patient but the team today were just brilliant ... thank you all so much

After an emergency 111 appointment today and As a person with severe anxiety! The male dentist and female dental nurse were fantastic! Would highly recommend!

Had a very painful tooth. Rang up in the morning and managed to get an emergency appointment that day. Not a long wait to see the dentist after arriving. Staff are really nice, especially my dentist Mr. Hall really comforting and kind. A dentist office is not my favorite place to be but they defiantly make the effort here to make you feel at ease. My son attended for a tooth extraction. The whole process, from booking and receiving advice from Emma, to the extraction process, was very professional. My son was immediately made to feel at ease, making the experience as easy as it could be. Highly recommended.

I have been as an emergency patient and a very nervous one. Trevor Hall the dentist was so reassuring and I feel so much better. A difficult job completed expertly. Dental nurse was brilliant too.
