Slipshoe Street Dental Surgery

I can't recommend Slipshoe Street Dental Practice enough. I've just had a troublesome tooth out and I was pretty worried about it being done but they were so good. Andrea the dentist was amazing and it was all over so quickly. I couldn't feel a thing and they were checking on me the whole way through. Great customer care and dentistry and the reception staff were brilliant and reassuring too. Thank you.

I cannot rate the service I always receive from Slipshoe dental surgery enough .. They have always gone above and beyond to fix any dental problems in between regular check ups and reassure when needed. I have recently been having treatment carried out by William & I have never been so relaxed about being at a dental surgery.. Thank you William and all at Slipshoe, you are truely amazing !

I am absolutely appalled to find out that there is now a cut off and if you haven't been to this surgery since before 2019 you cannot be treated on the NHS, despite the fact there was no warning to advise patients of this and no letter to advise we had been cut off. The fact there was a pandemic and you couldn't access dental treatment easily if at all has not been taken into consideration as they are so busy... Probably because no one could access treatment during the pandemic.

If this has always been the case how come I have been on your books since at least 1995 as an irregular patient and never been cut off before? If there was an extended grace period where is it? I attended in 2018, the cut off is 2019 in which year I paid a fine of £55 for not attending an appointment due to illness, the only appointment I have missed recently so the surgery took my money but didn't count it as interaction with the surgery. Again I state where was my warning of this grace period? Where was my notification I had been cut off? Appalling service no matter how politely the surgery replies and I am relieved to move elsewhere.

Receptionist came across rude over the phone when I mentioned the NHS 111 put me in touch with them for a emergency appointment.

I was happy to pay aswell luckily found a lovely dentist who receptionist was friendly.

Cost me £95 for the consultation but manners go along way.

For a nervous client, i can say, this practice really looks after us well. Mr Westwood is an excellent professional and does amazingly good work.

My husband was suffering seriously last Thursday evening. He rang the surgery as soon as it opened on Friday morning and the receptionist explained that they were short staffed and that there were no emergency slots available but that if he was happy to come in and wait they would do their best to fit him in. He was away for about two hours but in that time William Westwood fitted him into his busy schedule and extracted his tooth. My husband suffers with a serious fear of injections and has a very low pain threshold but he was full of praise for the way in which William underwent the treatment. Thank you very much.

Disappointed at my appointment today. Following making the appointment 2 months ago and stating that a filling had been lost , I had expected this to be resolved. I was told that following appointment had to be made due to the cleaning of equipment between clients. My appointment has been scheduled for 9 weeks time on Christmas eve. To be fair I had said Fridays were more convenient and also any day after 3.45. My new dentist Sanya is lovely though!
