Gim Ooi is simply put, absolutely brilliant. I have been with this man since my child was 8 months, he turned 30 this year! Mr Ooi once did a root canal on me and it was only because I had been with a friend (who was a Dental Nurse the evening before and we were talking about procedures as I had an imminent visit due) that I realised what he was doing, that is how good he is, come in like just a filling he was doing. He is very gentle but firm, tells you everything that is going on, has a great sense of humour and is a DIFFERENT CLASS!!!!! I will never leave his surgery and I hope he never leaves either, the surgery, the country, or us behind, lol

He is simply the best. You feel the 'experience vibe' coming through in his every move. I recently moved from my old dentists 3 months ago. Here my teeth have come to life, my smile is confident again and I am delighted. Never seen a dentist with 2 washing sinks in his room. He is cleanliness obsessed OCD. That's a brilliant practice. He is also warm and friendly. Over 30 years at the same address. I see how pleased his patients are and the orderly work regime like a well oiled machine. No stressing.

I went to the Dentist because I had real concerns about my two back upper teeth either being cracked or damaged. Dr Ooi told me that there was nothing to worry about and I can leave the teeth as they are.

There was still concerns about the teeth after my visit to the practice so I decided to go to a private Dentist. The Dentist immediately said I had visible damage to both my teeth and it cost me over £500 to repair!

I would not recommend!

Came in after a call to 111. Receptionist was really nice but the dentist himself was incredibly rushed and didn’t really seem to care at all. Told me he was going to wash my gums but failed to inform me he was going to do so by injecting the mouthwash INTO my gums. A warning would have been nice. Rushed me out the door without much explanation at all.

Dr Gim Ooi is truly a remarkable, experienced and skillful person. I broke one of my tooth and was struggling to find an NHS dentist in my borough Tower Hamlets. I was referred through NHS 111 emergency dental treatment at Dr Gim Ooi dental surgery, straight away when I saw Dr Gim, he identified the problem and treated me and his team in administration offered a treatment plan for me. Dr Gim knowledge and insight in what he does has really impressed me. In time of emergency I got the full treatment and I am really and truly satisfied with the help and assistance of this dental surgery. NHS dentistry has so much backlogs across the country and it is hard to find NHS dentistry. Dr Gim is providing that great service for the NHS and we should all be praising this action and his dedication to help the most vulnerable patients in our society. Administration staff in the reception team are really helpful! A local dental surgery within the community is serving its purpose to help us all. We should all remember and be grateful to those who help us in time of need and show them gratitude and appreciation.

Referred to this dentist for an emergency appointment, we were met with a hasty, rough and hasty treatment. Nevertheless, I would have expected more empathy from the doctor and his assistant as the patient in question was an elder. They were insistent everything was in order when she was clearly in pain and discomfort. Little did they do to ensure her back and neck were well supported. Covid has us all stressed but that's no excuse for dismissive and impatient behaviour. You were our only choice and now our last if we need help again - not recommended.

I visited here for an emergency dental appointment. The whole experience was rushed, rude and awful. Extremely unhelpful team - especially the receptionist. I’m sure everyone’s rushed off their feet with the backlog from Covid, but it doesn’t hurt to be nice and friendly. Would not recommend visiting this dentist - especially if you are just looking for some help.

Cannot express how wonderful this man is! I absolutely loathe going to the dentist. This has been a revelation for me as he is so quick at work, I barely feel a thing. He’s so funny, kind and just takes your mind off the work being done. Can’t recommend enough.
