Reception staff and nurses are friendly and approachable. Nothing to much trouble.
After being on the waiting list for an initial check up appointment for a year I finally called them as I need an emergency appointment. Waited for 3 days as the dentists passed me from one to the other, no phone calls back I had to keep chasing. Finally got told today that no dentist will see me now or in the future, maybe it's because I had to cancel an appointment with them during covid after testing positive the same day? Not according to the receptionist, apparently because I didn't book a check up... I've been waiting for them for 12 months.
Absolutely awful experience, booked in with a local one within 10 minutes.
Great customer service at reception as well. Very happy patient here - thank you for everything!
During this awful Covid time everyone has been astonishingly good - am not sure everyone appreciates the complete disruption, the massive increase in overheads, the necessary changes to normal working protocols and so on. It puts a huge strain on any group of people but they all get on with the job with incredible patience.
I have said before but happy to keep saying it - best dentist I’ve ever had. And I’ve lived in several parts of England and Scotland.

Had a filling done here towards the end of March 2021. Fillings are not cheap, but that's life.
The same filling came out around a month ago. Don't know what caused it - and I certainly don't eat hard sweets or toffees.
Phoned to get an appointment for a refilling (under warranty) and the surly receptionist I spoke to argued the toss over whether or not the work would be under warranty and even said the appointment offered would only be an examination and the work wouldn't be done on the day (I am sure she said this when I made the appointment for the initial filling and yet it was done on the day, to my pleasant surprise!) of the appointment . She couldn't give me an appointment until January as I can normally only do Mondays. It is nearly impossible to do other days in my profession at this time of year.
Phoned the practice again on Monday morning this week (First week of November) on a whim and after several attempts to get through spoke to a different receptionist to the last time. Explained the situation and said I am off this week and could they get me in anytime this week or put me on a reserve list in case there were any cancellations. Receptionist said she'd speak to the dentist and call me back. She didn't call me back and there were no missed calls.
I was in Witney the following day and went to the practice in person to see if I could speak to someone to make an appointment face to face and seeing the small queue outside it was clear they were still only allowing people in by appointment.
I tried to call several times on my phone from the street but nobody picked up.
Really poor not to not call a client back having said they would
Also haven't had a proper check up in 2 years. I'm sure I am by no means alone on this but these are mostly non urgent. Fillings are, however a different matter for obvious reasons.
With most other things in the UK it is back to business as usual. How much longer are we going to go on like this. I've had 3 vaccines and a flu jab. COVID does not prevent you treating patients with dignity and respect and calling clients back instead of leaving them in suspense for days on end. It is also common courtesy.
I have given 2 stars as under normal circumstances I have no complaints. Having said that, I have never gone there for the warm welcome I get from the receptionists! I tend to find them (i.e. the receptionists) fairly indifferent. And yes, most of us have a hard job these days - not complaining but I don't get home until around 9.30 pm most work days.
