The grand opening of the new premises today, as I work away from home I have taken two days holiday to attend the appointment, the appointment has been confirmed by two text message reminders and a covid form on-line.
I arrived with £980 in my pocket and you turned me away because you’d cancelled all appointments without warning ………..

Absolutely shocking service. Takes absolutely ages to get an appointment even for a simple check up! Then they don't bother to tell their patients that you have moved, but then tell them they have to rebook their appointment because they are late! On arrival they don't even acknowledge your existence when you walk in the door, despite not another soul in sight. AVOID!

Tried to make emergency appointment as I had toothache and was told I needed to pay privately for that but could see a nhs dentist for raging toothache in two months. They are trying to lose all the nhs patients and just get everyone to pay. Never see the same dentist twice, never told my dentist has left find out when I turn up, not great for a very nervous anxious patient with an illness that affects my teeth that I have to constantly explain. No service really just checks and then say they doubt if they can do anything and maybe a private dentist could. Just get the feeling they don’t want me there. They cannot retain dentist for more than six months. This was a lovely practice with regular dentist who knew their patients before my smile took over. Now patients are not valued, treated well or considered, it’s all about money.

Before this issue I have had numerous check ups cancelled. My little boy who is almost 5 has never had a check up because of this.
I went for an emergency appointment back in December as I was having pain. I was told that there was nothing there and that my teeth were in lovely condition. I continued having pain over the following months but according to your dentists there was nothing wrong. No x Ray was taken.
In August half of my tooth fell out so clearly there was a problem! It took me over 2 weeks to get an emergency appointment. I had to phone every morning. In the mean time they told me to get a nail file and file down the sharp bit of my tooth myself. I did not do this.
I finally got my emergency appointment and she told me the tooth needed to come out. I told her what she had previously told me about there being nothing there and she lied to my face and said she told me I needed a filling. She absolutely did not, and it was quite the opposite. “There is nothing there, you have excellent oral hygiene”. I didn’t argue with her but told her that was not what she told me. She then told me it needed to come out asap and that I’d be better off going private with them as it would get done quicker. The appointment was made for the following month. The day came and I had a phone call to say it had been cancelled. They said the next available appointment was in a months time (today). Guess what? Anther phone call to say it had been cancelled. I was furious and explained the cost of 2 supply teachers this has cost my school. The secretary then asked if she could ring me back and she would speak to the dentist. She phoned me back and he had offered to squeeze me in but there would be an additional £250 cost. No way. This was a lot more to what I was previously quoted and out if principal I would not pay it. Also squeeze me in? I already had a private appointment.
My husband told me to ring his dentist in Glynneath. He has always highly rated them. They gave me an appointment for the same day and offered to do the extraction also. Wow what a difference in practice.
I would not recommend “my dentist” at all. You’d have more luck making an appointment with the local vets. My dog receives better treatment. They should not be allowed to treat patients like this and I will be taking this further.

My Dentist were at a wedding fayre I attended late 2022. I spoke to the girls on the stall about a gap in my teeth that I wanted closed for my forthcoming wedding. They booked me an appointment there and then to come in and have a consultation. I attended My Dentist, Port Talbot where I spoke to the girls again in depth about what I wasn't happy with, what I'd like to change etc. I had my scans taken and was then booked in to see Hugo a couple of weeks later to go over the digital images of how my teeth would look when the treatment was finalised. Hugo was very helpful and talked me through the process. I am now on my third set of retainers and I am very happy with the progress. Hugo and the rest of the staff at My Dentist, Port Talbot have been nothing but helpful. They have completely put me at ease and have made this process seamless. I am looking forward to seeing my final results in a few months. I highly recommend them.

Amazing service, always hospitable and kind. I had orthodontic treatment and was fully supported and kept up to date with everything that needed to be done by Hugo the dentist, the nurses were also very knowledgeable and always made me feel comfortable. Wonderful!

Been back and forth to the same dentist and still the problem is not resolved. Paid £220 and my tooth is still cutting my tongue .
Firstly he told me I couldn't have a crown has I only have 30% of gum left. Then I go back in for a filling. He then tells me a need a crown !
The filling is applied and in fairness he said the filling may fall out. So I asked him to pull the tooth out. He refused to.
He wouldn't give me a injection when operating on my tooth. Within a hour if leaving the practice the filling falls out, leaving a sharp tooth to cut my tongue. I just been in again and they want more money to sort the same tooth out !
Also the want me to pay full price before any treatment.
Oh and the dentist is name is Mo Shriki.
Has you can imagine I am Vexed with the situation.
Spencer
