My husband was seen at 11.30 Sunday morning after phoning for advice at 9am. He was attended to promptly and efficiently, an X-ray was done, the dentist discussed performing a tooth extraction but as my husband had taken his normal medication (which included an anticoagulant) she decided against this. After carrying out emergency treatment to try and alleviate the pain she prescribed antibiotics and wrote a letter to his own dentist which he will hand deliver. Our praise and thanks to the dentist, nurse and receptionist for their care.

This service is brilliant! I needed emergency dental assistance for a very painful tooth on a Sunday morning. I was triaged by a really kind and helpful receptionist and was seen within the hour. The dentist was gentle and thorough, took an X-ray and provided me with a prescription for antibiotics, as it was an abscess. I highly recommend this service and am very grateful to the staff and NHS for this facility. 😊

Pointless service to be honest! Was referred by NHS 111. I explained the problems I've been having, how long it's been, what painkillers I've taken and given name and address. All to be told carry on and put myself on a waiting list to register to my own dentist.

Phone dup as a last resort at 930am. Huge abscess unable to swallow antibiotics for 3 days not working. Infection spreading. The rude lady on reception plainly stated "Let me just stop you right there and tell you we have no appointments for today"

Shocking. Truly shocking.

I called yesterday asking for emergency visit as my crown broke down and I was told to take paracetamol. I said I am using Ibuprofen and Naproxen for change. Unfortunately there wasn't a free slot for me yesterday so I had to wait.

Today is the new day and I called earlier. Person on the phone asked me if I had any painkillers today and I said yes, I had Naproxen an hour ago. The answer? Sorry but we can't take you because you are not following our orders and you didn't take paracetamol. You can buy a temporary filling for your tooth with local pharmacist.

Is this a joke?

The woman I spoke to over the phone - whilst I'm in agony after being on hold for 50 minutes - was rude, and hideously unhelpful. I was effectively told to do my own temporary filling at home. When I mentioned that it was too painful to even touch my tooth with my tongue atm, she shot back passive aggressively with “well how did you think the dentist was going to treat it?” - uhhh, with anaesthetic? As someone who is already mildly afraid of the dentists (hate having hands in my mouth) this totally knocked my confidence in the local dentistry services/ emergency centres.

They have always helped me but the women on the phones in this place are seriously rude considering it’s an emergency dental line, I was told “ you don’t need to cry “ Like is this woman for real? I’m not crying because I want or need to I’m crying because I am in pain and physically can’t control or hide my emotions at this point, do they not realise when your in server pain with a tooth you have - headache, earache, belly ache, neck ache and worst of all the toothache, no sympathy for your patients at all, and to keep being told “ we won’t treat you here more than twice” iv been about 8 times now you can’t deny me treatment from the NHS Karen darling.

Disgusting attitude of receptionist on the phone. Acted like she didn’t care I was in pain. Talked down to me the whole time and made me feel like I was a problem rather than a patient. Struggle with mental health problems so spent the rest of the day in the lowest mood due to the vile attitude and the way I was spoken to. Will NOT be going there again.
