Throughout my 8 years as a loyal customer I have not felt valued, you may ask why I have stayed so loyal if I was not happy. The answer is my wife and children all use the practice and I didn't want to put the children through moving dentists as it can be a horrible experience at the best of times.
During a recent consolation I was refereed to another practices in Leamington for work. The team in Leamington where far more polite and accommodating and made me feel that my needs where a priority.
Old square dental practice made me feel like they were interested in taking my money for check-ups however when it came to a more complicated procedure they could not ship me out quick enough to another dental practice.
From years of visiting the centre they still use a paper based diary, it's hard to get through on the telephone and they only accept cash which has always felt uncomfortable to me.
I regret using this dentist and exposing my children to the staff as during a recent visit they have been rude and again unappreciative of our custom and the manner in which one dentist spoke to my children is unacceptable in a modern retail environment.
The old saying a customer comes first is not flourishing in this practice.
Edit: I've added one star. They are now seeing patients again for check ups. They also appear now - miracle of miracles - to have a computer based diary! They also now take card payments! I'd also like to make it clear that the dentists (and we've seen many come and go over the years) have always been good, for me anyway. Mr Panesar who we see at the moment seems very honest, recommending that I only come once a year. And he's brilliant with my kids.
Original post: I do find it strange how they don't accept card payments in this day and age. They have no computer system, literally an old fashioned paper diary. If you forget when your appointment is then they have to go through the diary page by page. It's like stepping back in time. My kids' check ups have been postponed three times because of covid, apparently because they are prioritising emergencies but I'm starting to wonder when they will ever resume normal service. But they still were fine for me to see the hygienist but not have a check up with the dentist.
