Dawsons Department Store

I bought a Weber barbecue grill on their website bbqworld.co.uk where it says "Some assembly required". That is a big lie. It came in a small box, completely disassembled down to bolts. Even the manual for the equipment says it requires 2 people in uniforms to put it together. I had to hire 2 men to assemble it. They cost me £100 and took them over 2 hours. I called to ask for support and talked to Julie, who was very rude and unsupportive. I tried returning the item but she said I could not since I opened the box and the cost to return had to be mine. That is absurd. I concluded you are doing this all on purpose. Big liers.

Exceptional Customer Service, i ordered 1 of these and because the quality of the spode cream jug was so fantastic i ordered another. Really incredible store. Plus they arrived quickly and very well wrapped.

Great place and staff very helpful.The only downside is there is no in-store wheelchair which would be great. Most stores like shakletons now have these.
Any chance of Dawson's getting one?

Great place, nicknamed mini Harrods of the North. Always thinking, changing and innovating with product's. Very large selection of everyday goods. Friendly staff will always help, constantly very warming and family feel. Well worth a visit an icon within the town.

Visited the store on 28th & 29th Oct 2022. Really lovely store and the ladies that were on the till were so helpful, thoughtful kind and patient. Could not do enough to help. Saved me a trip out of town while looking for curtains!! They no longer do curtains in store (available on line) but was I desperate need and they had a look in the back for left over stock. Curtains and lots of other things purchased. Will definitely visit again. Thank you ladies!

Ordered from ecookshop yesterday, delivered today! Very pleased with item (4 plates) and very well packed

I like looking around but most of the cookware is very expensive. Also the Christmas display is limited this year and lots of trees out of stock.

With an interesting and modern range of goods, Dawson's is like a small department store, with Maxwell's cafe bar selling THE BEST COFFEE for when you need to take a break. Food also is excellent.
