Great department store, with a small shop feel. The staff are very helpful, polite and they make an effort for the customer. Roomes has a great selection of perfumes, aftershaves and make up counters. They also have small departments carrying the latest in many named brands. The household department is quite extensive with higher quality items. The cafe is also pleasant with a variety of foods and hot and cold drinks. Due to limited space they don't always have extensive sizes however they are more than willing to order the correct size if they are able.

Is a nice cool place. Restaurant is very relaxing to have tea and cake. Staff are always friendly and kind except for the guy who seems to be their boss. A bit blunt and not so friendly.
In the other areas of the store, most of the staff specifically on the 1st floor are very nice and always helpful with what ever you need. They sell very good and quality staff for the home.

Today (23rd Sept) received excellent service from Julie from the bedding dept. in helping my wife & I acquire a particular duvet from another source. Thanks again Julie. From Dave & Eileen

A beautiful store. It never fails to deliver. Such a great range of clothes, bags, toys, gifts, kitchenware. Coffee and cake luscious too

Met a friend for lunch and a catch up in the resturant. Staff and food were lovely. Quiet and peaceful seating area and really good value for money.

Roomes own website states Free Parking for customers so I will fully suggested some visited relatives went their recently, sadly the website is false and they issued a £100 parking charge for the pleasure. The High Street is undoubtedly suffering but they are placing their own nails in the coffin. Better to avoid.

Lovely clean department store. I love the clothes.Bought new boots in the sale and nice new blouse for evening at The Christmas Ritz tea.

I like Roomes. It is the type of large, multi-purpose shop that seems to have been there for ever.
A good choice of bedding and kitchenware. Think Debenhams but with friendly staff and you won't be far off.
I must admit that I seemed to be the youngest customer by some distance, but that probably had a lot to do with the time of day I went there.
