We have bought a very expensive Tempur mattress and first we had to wait for such a long time, more than 1 month(We can understand that because the store needs to order from Tempur).
Second: When it finally arrived (28/06) the base of one of the sides were broke and they promised to change it as soon as possible.
Third: on the 21st of August, almost 2 months later, they came to replace the broken side of the bed and also to attach the box to the headboard of the bed because last time they came they didn't do it. When they were attaching the headboard I saw many scratches on the floor because they didn't attach it before. They saw it too and reported to the store. They were also suppose to bring a mattress cover as a courtesy and of course, they didn't!
Fourth: Today, 14th of September, they came again and this time to fix the springs the opening mechanism wasn't working (we sent the videos to them by email showing it). There had the springs to replace and guess what? They had the wrong ones! Regarding the promised mattress cover, yes, they brought this time but We still have with a super expensive bed that we cannot fully enjoy since June!
Now, we are probably going to have to wait for more 2 months in order to have our Bed ok. I believe that the Tempur brand is also responsible for it but I can assure that either DANIEL or TEMPUR doesn't know how to treat and to give the costumers a nice shopping experience.
On the 10th of October 2020 around 16:20 I’ve purchased together with my 7 years old daughter a playmobile worth of 14.99 £. I’ve paid by cash and when asked if I need a receipt my answer was no.
Afterwards I’ve purchased for my daughter a Mayoral cardigan worth of 43 £. I’ve paid by cash and asked for receipt.
From level 1 we went to clothing department for adults on ground floor - Barbour, Calvin Clain underwear, Scotch and Soda section.
I’ve decided to try on a hoodie jumper and a rain jacket. When I left a fitting room, staff member - a woman in her 30’s asked me if I had 2 jumpers and looked at me suspiciously. I replied, only 1.
A second later she asked for playmobile receipt, when I told her that I didn’t take it, she put playmobile behind the counter glass and started calling security.
I said that playmobile is in original, brand new Daniel’s bag but a “lady in her 30’s” replied that maybe I’ve got it from somewhere else...
When I said that I’ve been coming to Daniel’s store for many years and spending lots of money the other staff member - a lady in her late 40’s said that it doesn’t matter !!??
Both ladies refused to give their names when I asked for it and told me to leave !
Store manager mr Albert Jones also refused to give ladies names despite the fact that other staff members were wearing name tags and told me that he will call police.
When I told him that this is exactly what I want he became little bit more polite.
Due to the fact that my daughter was in despair and heavy tears I said that I will leave if I hear apologies. After a short meeting which mr Jones held on the side a “lady in her 30’s” came back and insincerely apologised.
Without any reason I was treated like a thief by highly unprofessional staff members and put under lots of stress.
I will not stop trying to find out what are the names of these “2 ladies”
I also assume that it is in best Daniels interest to prevent this kind of incidents in the future.
I have also witnessed mr Jones arguing with an Indian customer in his 40’s. I’m sure cctv footage can shed some light on that as well.
Daniels store is loved by my daughter and I do hope that she will be speared this kind of experience during our potential future visits.
At around 4:50pm I could see the shop assistant rushing to close the lights and running out the front door with his bag. I asked why the store was closing despite him stating the store was closing at 5:30pm over the phone earlier. The shop assistant replied that was only from Tuesday to Friday, locked up and ran past me to catch the bus.
Closing the store randomly earlier than stated and after verbal confirmation was highly unprofessional and caused extreme inconvenience. It not only wasted our fuel but time and effort to get to the store but also delayed our itinerary there onwards.
Seriously??????
