Down stairs is great, super brands looks luxurious but upstairs in the ladies clothing is always a jumble sale and you have to work hard to find someone to help, serve on the till or open a fitting room. Always disappointed

GAME store inside HOF. better than a lot of stand a lone stores. Thanks to the member of staff who helped me understand how pokemon work. He was really good! Sorry I didn't get his name but I think he was American.

This morning, my daughter and I went to do a bit of shopping in House of Fraser (Bluewater)8. We made our way to the men's section - Hugo/Boss. We were served by Manisha who was just so lovely, helpful and knowledgeable about the merchandise. When we paid, she advised us of the exchange and returns policy and then, (as we spent over £250), handed us a £50 voucher to spend after 5th December😀 Being served by assistants like Manisha makes shopping a delight. Thank you.

Staff were friendly which was good. Some bargains but clearly the returns policy is an issue. No refunds, only credit notes or replacements.
Most of the top designer clothing labels are not on sale as you would hope, unless I missed them.

The non refund policy
Is not mentioned anywhere pre purchase. Poor customer service, especially at the Dior makeup counter - the older, short haired blonde woman is rude. Can't find staff to serve you, however a lovely girl called Harman was extremely helpful.

It was a quiet period at the end of the day. I wanted to purchase a Charlotte Tilbury lipstick and lip cheat and foundation. The sales assistant spent all her time following around 1 couple assisting and advusing them, and neglected myself and 2 other couples. When she was finally free, i asked her for a foundation match. She said she couldnt as she was the only sales staff there.

So i tested the foundation myself and then went elsewhere to make my purchase. I found the sales staff in the other store to be very helpful.

Chanel make up counter specifically reviewing here. Went with my mother to buy some make up for me, my mother has the full collection of Chanel make up, we was there for me. My mother was casually chatting about how she applies her own make up, the women went out of her way to embarrass my mother about the way she applied her make up, but not in a constructive way, in a way, in a humiliating way, we was both embarrassed and left quickly, went to boots instead. please employ kind people rather than overly blushed bitter women.

Thank you Jessica, at the Charlotte Tilbury stall, you made me feel at ease in the daunting world of makeup. Thanks for all the tips and advice and for taking your time.
