What a fantastic place! Lovely atmosphere, fun surroundings and delicious homemade waffles, crepes and ice-cream! Perfect for all ages - especially families seeking something a bit different. We'll be back!

There were around 20 empty tables and we kept getting told there are no more tables and there is a long wait, only to find out by another member of staff that there are not enough staff and chefs to cater for the demand, on a Saturday. I would rather they just said they were really busy and understaffed then saying there are. I tables with dozens of empty tables behind her. We sat down to wait and asked for a menu to browse. Then got told that once seated there’s another 39 min wait for food. Some seriously poor human resource planning!

I took my son Evan here as a treat on Chrisrmas Eve after Santa and ice skating. Arruvwd before 12 so when we were shown to our seat we were given a breakfast menu
Once the waitress had come over it was after 12 and said " as its after 12 we should give you the lunch menu but the chef has said if we wanted the breakfast one we could and new pancake mix would be made.
Decided to do breakfast menu as £2 cheaper for the same thingish.
A bottle of stuff and kitchen towel was plonked on the table.
Our drinks came over very nice then the pancakes! Evans looked nice mine on the otherhand yuk. Thick and huge. Bacon on top and a drizzle of maple syrup.
The pancake was stodgy and dry. As id never been there before and wasnt told that the bottle was maple syrup. I had said we had not been here before so may be i should of been told!! Left most of the pancakes. Waitress who had shown us to our seat asked it we wamted them boxed i explained how yuk they were.
Other waitress came over with our bill but nothing was said re my comments. Definately wont go back for food. YUK

Always a great shop for bargains. Lots of ideas for gifts and to learn new crafts. Remember to take (or get) your loyalty card!

Budget stationary for all ages and books, great for finding a thing for that person you just can't figure out what to buy.

A good selection of books, toys, arts and crafts and games on offer, but you can't help feel that's it's all old stock that other stores have stopped selling. Maybe that's the point of it, but it's usually a bit of a last resort store for me. Prices aren't as cheap as I'd like them to be to make it a discount shop.
All round good for a browse if you can't find what you want elsewhere.

The shop is great, no doubt about that fantastic bargains. Just a shame about the unfriendly, rude staff members who work here.

Great books at great prices always seem to have deals on to. Books that use to be £12 now £3 I got the art of war for £8 use to be £25. They do great little art and craft bits for kids that are perfect for birthdays or Christmas. Board games aswell they sell are great also I picked up some amazing little fairy garden bits for my mum and nan and they loved them. By the till where you pay they sell little bits and sweets that change every few weeks and it's always good stuff.
