Couldn't find what I has seen on the website but found a better alternative, albeit more expensive.
You could tell Christmas isn't too far off as the shelves were bulging with Xmas goods that you may or may not need. There was at least 4 staff adding even more stock yet only two tills open, both with a slow queue.
My attention was briefly drawn to a female who passed in front of me and exit the store without going through the till, carrying something tucked tightly under her arm. Since customers, including myself, don't use a carrier bag for our goods, who knows whether she had purchased elsewhere or stolen from b&m.
We had a gift pack in which there were number of sauces were packed in a packed. We bought that to give a gift to some one and best before date for that box is 05/05/2024.
When we came home, we realised that this gift may not be appropriate for the person so thought will refund and buy some thing else.
But when requested for refund the store manager from Aykesbury, retail park store ( Katie) very rudely did not even listen to us properly and said food items can not be refunded.
This was not the frozen or item from refrigeration , fruit or vegetables and was properly packed and best before date as mentioned was 05/05/2024.
In all store no where it was mentioned about this item or other food items that it will not be returned and refunded.
The most disturbing thing was her attitude that I wanted to speak to her and was just looking some where else and not interested, what I wanted to say.
Very rude behaviour, we were regulars and loyal customers but no more now.
I have stores where even frozen items were fully refunded to make customers happy and then put those items into waste . She could have said sorry without being rude but business, profit and bonus mattered to her most not customers.
