The Macallan Estate

Had an amazing family lunch here at the weekend. Food was lovely, staff were so welcoming and professional and the distillery itself is well worth a visit. Thank you !

Relatively new, but set into the landscape of the Maccallan estate that has been distilling the world’s leading single malt since 1824. It is frankly a modern state of the art architecture. The sceneries from the bar space is fascinating. I did not have the chance to do the tour experience. Do not miss to take a photo on your way out from the top road: one of the only Scottish broch inspired distilleries you would ever see. A not to be missed experience.

Wow. All I can say is WOW. My husband and I did the mastery tour today and it was absolutely incredible. Our guide was so sweet and informative. She had a great speaking voice and was extremely knowledgeable. I don’t even drink whiskey, but I definitely tried all that I was offered. We did the Mastery Experience. Hands down the best I’ve ever been to. Make sure you book well in advance!

Absolutely beautiful views to sit and enjoy a tasting in. Feels very Museum like in the lower level and has a relaxing enjoyable bar for tasting in the upper level. Book your tour well in advance and enjoy this distillery. Very worth a visit

Disappointed, but I should have expected this from a corporate conglomerate. The building and grounds are spectacular and worth the visit just for that. Everything else was about money and was well marketed. In the bar they offer a Rob Roy made with their 18 year old sherry cask whisky for £60. First off, I don’t believe any whisky is worth over £100 and I’d challenge most anyone to discern the difference between a £30 and a £300 whisky in a blind taste test. All marketing and FOMO. Secondly, who would take a £300 whisky and mix it with vermouth and bitters?
But I would still visit just to see the building and grounds, no charges.

Macallan is one of the most popular and renowned distillery there is in the world today. Montreal Canada is no exception to the rule ! Macallan products are truly appreciated by all of those that enjoy a wonderful glass of Scotch with Friends on a fantastic Friday evening! And I'm one of those guys . My favorites being the 10 and 12 years old Sherry Oak . And naturally the 15 years old Triple Cask . Just a remarkable Whiskey. Montreal says Cheers to everyone at The Macallan Estate. Absolutely stellar experience. I had the chance to visit the distillery before the refurbishment and the difference is worth the trip alone. Great food and just a very well packaged, informative and fun experience

The best whisky distillery in the world. We visited other distilleries on our Scotland trip but nothing could compare to the Macallan Estate. We enjoyed a lovely dining experience before going on a tour. Our guide, Zoe, was so knowledgeable and welcoming! We cannot wait to arrange a trip here again soon…
