Chelmer Village Surgery

After 8 months I decided to change this surgery. I am sincerely disgusted with it. They told me if I'm concerned about my 2 year old to go to A&E. They refused to prescribe my 10 year old cream and lotion for eczema as you can buy them over the counter. He had them prescribed since he was 2 and I have never had a problem. They only do over the phone appointments. I Google my concerns then call the GP to tell them what medicine I want for my children. Luckily I work in the domain and I am confident.. this surgery should not be allowed to practice. It does not deserve one star!

Went in today after a PARTICULAR DOCTOR! Mismanaged and neglected my sons care. He has deteriorated with 2 serious chronic diseases at their hands. I got more care and courtesy from the nhs line 111. I was there on behalf of my son who has given written consent for me to advocate on his behalf when he is not well enough to. I stayed calm while I was shouted at by the Dr, insulted and accused of being a controlling mother, threatened with the police and all the while I stayed calm while the practice manager and GP literally ganged up on me and immediately saw me as a threat. And all because I followed the correct complaints procedure. I am pleased to say, I AM TAKING IT FURTHER WITH EVERYTHING I HAVE GOT, SO THAT THEY DO NOT GET THE OPPORTUNITY TO PUT ANY MORE PATIENTS THROUGH SUCH HARM AND DISREGARD. I’M JUST GETTING STARTED. I’ll re-post when the complaints procedure is finished.

Absolutely appalling service. Don’t expect when you book a phone appointment for it to be on time 3 hrs sometimes 4 they will call back. No concern or regard for patients.

Wouldn't regester my mother as a temporary patient, while she was staying with me apparently its to do with funding..

So we will be deregestering from the awful place.

Would do a minus 5 stars if I could.

Although the staff were very helpful and it's obviously there hands are tied.

Not even got a practice manager!!!

The worst service ever from this GP, I honestly don’t even know how they are still running. Called as an emergency and was told ‘theres no doctors available today they are having to isolate’ ??!!! You call yourselves a DOCTORS surgery but you have no doctors!! It comes to something when I got more help through NHS 111 and the hospital saw me as an emergency after my symptoms worsened. This could have been life threatening and this surgery didn’t care at all. I hope I never have to use there services again.

Been with this surgery for over a year now. Receptionists are very rude and do not communicate properly with the doctors. Gps only one out of 3 are any good. One particular doctor has denied me and my partner further care thinking that she knows better. Avoid register with another surgery.

I was told today to go and get over the counter "something " and have a PCR test after I told the receptionist I am coughing yellow ish /green mucus and i am 36 weeks pregnant.
All I wanted was a telephone consultation with a gp.
I should have considered the reviews before becoming a patient.

Absolutely disgusting surgery! Can never get a appointment the staff and doctors just do not care and that’s not a exaggeration! The receptionists are so rude and inexperienced like talking to a brainless fish! Someone needs to do something. I will be taking this further.
