The Mayfair Medical Centre

I very rarely write reviews, however I felt that it is important to raise the issues about this place. I have been registered here for almost a year and had a chance to see Dr Shaukat Nazeer twice. I cannot go into much details what has happened not opening up my medical history, but want to emphasise that I feel that his behaviour was negligent. He refused to perform blood tests even when there was a strong enough case for that. After saying that I am going to leave the practice, because I am not happy with the care I got, he said "go ahead". I work in healthcare field myself, never been treated as badly and truly feel that he might be a great medical doctor, however he lacks of social skills. I left the clinic emotionally distressed and with tears in my eyes.
And to add, I always value NHS care and actually advocate for that, I know what pressure doctors have, however this time, it is not about not having enough time, it is about not even wanting to listen to the patient and their concerns. Shame on you Dr Shaukat Nazeer - what example do you show to the students who are observing you.

As a New Zealand expat that's lived in multiple locations across London, I began to assume that poor service and high staff rotation was just the UK standard of healthcare. In 3 years, it was rare to ever see the same doctor more than twice. In 2019, I was delighted to discover Mayfair Medical Centre, as they have consistency of staff and their lead Dr Nazeer genuinely cares about his patients in a way I didn't think existed anymore. Highly recommend, if you're lucky enough to be able to receive care here.

Horrible customer service. I have been trying to call and make an appointment to get my scan result since June, and they keep telling me to walk-in. Last time I walked-in I had to wait for 5 hours. 5 HOURS!!! Now I don't live in the area anymore so it's not easy for me to come, the guy i spoke with was rude, refused to book me in (saying that the booking system is not opened yet for 2 weeks ahead), or just to send the result to my current NHS, neither email or post because i have to come physically to pick it up. I just want to know if i have CANCER or not, but now what's the point of checking it and cannot know if there is something wrong?? Before I even had to call myself and asked if the result has arrived, they didn't even let me know when they received it. If you really don't care about your patients and people's wellbeing, then maybe just close the practice. Now making me even more concerned and i worried, you are really making an impact here.

Both doctors are great. I haven’t had any issue with receptionist as some comments suggest. Therefore the 3 stars.
However, the encounter with their nurse left a permanent scar on my soul. She seemed to have some issue with me from day one. The reason why I am writing this review is the way how she talked to me when I took my baby for her first vaccine. I was a mother only for a couple weeks, very insecure about EVERYTHING. Instead of providing me with some guidance, she started to shame me (you baby looks hungry, how are you holding her, what’s up with your hands). She was offensive the entire time, and I deeply regret I haven’t told her it’s not ok to talk like that to a first time mother. It has been a year and I sometimes still go back mentally and get angry. Dear nurse, I wouldn’t give you even 1 star.

Excellent Medical Centre, brilliant GP practice.
Always polite and friendly receptionist. I never have to wait for an appointment. The management is extremely helpful and efficient when comes to dealing with documents. Dr. Boyd and Dr. Nazeer are excellent clinicians, always compassionate and professional.

The doctors, nurses and reception staff are wonderful —and most importantly deliver exceptional care.
I think other reviewers need to appreciate that the staff here are having to deal with difficult, complex and ever-changing demands from patients. In terms of the medical care they provide, I have not felt in better hands.
I’ve been a patient here for close to 5 years and I highly recommend this practice and its staff.

We have been patients for +20 years and they have never let us down - wonderful care and support from the whole team - forever grateful! Dr Nazeer and Dr Boyd are wonderful GP's, the team at Reception do so much for us and the nursing team are absolutely wonderful, we have seen team come and go and yet the practice remains consistently Excellent - we know how extremely lucky we have been in our lives to have this medical support 10/10

Dr Nazeer is the most carrying GP I've ever had in the UK. I feel blessed to have such an excellent medical service. The receptionist team are very helpful and professional and always willing to assist.
