Trying to call them for days now. Call above 30 in a queue everytime. Sms says call between 2-5pm and messaging on the line says call before 3pm. It’s impossible to get through anyone to even book an appointment. Terrible level of care. This is really frustrating for people who are probably already anxious. You need to improve your service.

I don't feel that I was taken seriously by reception. I was made to feel as though I am asking too much even if it is just a medical letter.I understand the doctors are busy but their tone seemed nasty considering the gravity of my condition. I dont want to end up having to have surgery like the last time the doctors diagnosed another condition too late.Hence I dont want to exacerbate this condition. Its a shame.

Wideway medical centre seems to be overwhelmed by patients. My first appointment was cancelled as someone had phoned in sick. There is always a long queue before signing in. The reception staff are somewhat abrupt and don't seem to be patient especially with patients who English is not their first language. You get the impression that they are short staffed. I was seen by a very nice final year medical student, but she was on her own and I thought she would have done with some supervision.

Surgery appears to have completely abdicated their on-site responsibility to the community by closing the doors for 18 months and severely restricting access to doctors (apparently working from home) and nurses. They have also shut the online booking system, their telephone lines are seeing wait times of upwards of an hour. Huge mistake to move surgeries to here.

Update: 22/09/2022 This surgery has implemented the e-consult service on the premise that they will contact you within two working days to offer a telephone or in person appointment.

An absolute farce. Having to constantly chase when they miss the deadline. We get it, you are still recovering from the Covid pressures, but you are letting us down when you fail to meet your own waiting times.

I am surprised reading the negative feedbacks, I can only praise the GP practice! From the reception team to nurses and GPs, they always have been kind, professional and on my case whenever I needed them. When they were short of staff, they were apologetic and dealt with my request in a professional manner. I am a returning patient as I have moved away then back to the area, and I wouldn’t choose another practice. The e-consult service is simply brilliant, I have a very busy schedule, so dealing with issues via this service has been super helpful for me. I would like to thank all the staff for their hard work and effort at all times!

I find one of the receptionists to be very unhelpful and unwelcoming. I have gone in twice to book an appointment for my sons' immunisation, because i would rather not be on the phone for an hour. Spoke to the same receptionist both times and she makes everything seem very difficult. First time she told me she could not access appointments beyond one week. Booking appointments outside of school hours also seems to be difficult.

This surgery should be shut down they are a disgrace! For a doctor to tell an elderly person that they are too busy to talk to them
and to put the phone down, on two occasions, when they had questions about what they had been told is an absolute disgrace! This was two separate doctors as well. The doctors need serious training in how to handle the elderly and to support those struggling with mental health. How they speak to people is lacking in basic communication skills. They are not the only people that are busy, many of us work very long hours, it does not give them the right to think they can treat people in such a way. No care here at all. There are a lot of examples of their negligence and I will be escalating my complaint about their treatment of elderly in the community as they should be struck off

Absoulutly disgusting service from this gp service. My son had an appointment at 9 in the morning was given medication. To then be told by the pharmacy it needs to be signed of by a doctor call back in the afternoon phoned back to be told the same thing. Phoned the doctor was told the doctor will do it on his lunch. Got till half 4 still not heard so phoned pharmacy again still the same thing. Phoned the gp to be on hold for half an hour to be cut off phoned back another half hour on the phone finally got through to be told the doctors do it at the end of the day. And my son was seen by a nurse practitioner that’s why the doctor needs to sign the medication of so we have waited all day my son being uncomfortable and now the surgery and pharmacy are closed and it’s Friday so all weekend and no idea if it has been done or not absoulutly disgusting appointment at 9 in the morning and not able to get what has been described!!!!
